The Carpet Guys were grade A+++ from beginning to end and then some. I am so so soooo happy that I was recommended to The Carpet Guys. My designer was extremely helpful and the installation team was fantastic as well.

I had it out with the guy from Art Van and Empire was even worse. I used a referral service that i found online to get linked up with The Carpet Guys and I wish I would have started there to begin with. The service was excellent, the price was fair and the entire process was stress free and easy.

Love supporting locally owned businesses, my mom needed new carpet so I told her to use The Carpet Guys who are two miles down from her house. They did an awesome job helping my mom pick out carpet and installing it. It was a quick process too. She's very happy about her new carpet and referred two of her friends to them who just got new flooring from them too both in the last month and who are also very excited. I will continue sending people their way. Very pleased! My mom is ecstatic!

I was referred to The Carpet Guys by my sister who recently got her carpet replaced by them and with three kids and a dog I needed new floors quick before the holiday season. I called them Monday afternoon and they came to my house Tuesday morning with tons of carpet samples. I compared them to a few other companies but they overwhelming helpful and a locally owned company so needless to say I went with them coming from a family owned little diner. Now I am actually excited to have my family over for the holidays and to show off my brand new floors, my house actually looks new again. Thanks Carpet Guys for all the help!

The Carpet Guys sold me new carpet and laminate flooring for my home in Warren. The sales person was helpful and knowledgeable. The price was fair and the installation went smooth. Nice people to work with and definitely worth the money spent.

The entire process from start to finish was impressive. Our sales guy was very informative and spent all the time needed going over our options. He offered a better price then the first company we had out. We agreed to move forward. Installation went seamlessly. I was so happy with the work that I referred my Mom. Had problems with the installation - miscommunication between sales and installation. Have been waiting for two hours for appointment to complete what repairs they could (carpet already unraveling)...do you think they will reimburse me for my time and the shoddy work?

We recently had carpet installed by The Carpet Guys. We were looking for something affordable, and The Carpet Guys offered a great, interest-free credit program that we took advantage of.



Pros:



Overall, our experience was very positive. Our salesman was very nice, and he wasn't pushy at all. Additionally, the installer was on time, and he and his sons were knowledgeable, courteous, and they worked all day to complete my job (2,500 sq ft home) in one day.



The carpet padding leaves a little more to be desired, but we knew we were getting a cheaper product, so that was not a shock or anything. The carpet itself is nice.



I called the office after about a month because our seams were very noticeable in a few spots, and the company sent the installer back out, and he did a nice job of blending the carpet so that they were no longer noticeable



Cons:



The contract came with a free vent cleaning, which is a nice add-on considering there were a lot of carpet fibers that fell into the vents; however, on three separate occasions, I rearranged my schedule to be home for this cleaning and all three times, the company canceled on me. Once for a "truck malfunction," once because of "rain" (it was sunny and 60), and the third time, the truck just never showed- with no call or explanation. Finally, on the fourth try, we got our vents cleaned.



I only knocked off one star because of this because A) the carpet was the most important thing and B) I assume this was contracted work, so not necessarily the fault of The Carpet Guys.



Again, other than the fact that I wish I would have inquired about upgrading the padding, I've been happy so far.

I too am waiting for someone to schedule an inspection of my installation that I am unhappy about. I have many issues with my hardwood flooring installation and no one has reached out to SEE what went wrong. Job is only a week old and I will update my review if I receive any action!

The guy who came over to give me an estimate. he only had one panel of carpet to choose from. Most carpet stores have many carpets to choose from. i told him i wanted good carpet so he brought in 1 more panel. those little pieces were 6 by 3 inches and i had three rooms to match carpet. he agreed with me on each of my picks. NOT one matched my walls. i was quoted aprox $8,500 for my 3 rooms, and linoulium(10 x 10). he called the owner for a discount. owner said take off $1,000. after adding up my bill, he said oh i forgot to add linoleum when i told the boss so i have to add back $1,000, all a scam!



when my carpet arrived, the carpet did not match any of my rooms so i had to repaint every room. i called the owner about this problem and he knocked off $1,000. he was very nice. the carpet is the worst carpet i have ever had, after 1 yr, it is all matted down like it has been walked on for 20 yrs. and i live by myself. areas lighter than others making it look like very old carpet.



i wrote the company. the manager called and set up an app with me which he never showed up or called me. i waited all day long. he called me 3 days later to tell me he was sick and wanted to reschedule. what NO secretary to call meto let me know this? he set up another app for that sat and said would all first to confirm. once again, i waited all day but he never showed up nor did he call and here it is 4 wks later and i believe this is it. i won't call ever again. he told me the reason the carpet might be bad is because outside cleaning companies use certain chemicals which can damage the carpet. i told him i cleaned it myself which he then said its my carpet detergent that might have discolored the carpet. there is nothing wrong with bissell carpet cleaner. there is also a hugh line down the middle of the carpet showing where they had to switch panels of carpet.



i believe the good ratings came from family members and friends and nobody elso wants to take time to put in a complaint. i am so disatisfied that i will never refer nor say a good word about the carpet guys!!!!

Had my hardwood floors remodeled and adding carpet to our bedrooms. Very nice reliable people, professional and most definitely accommodating. My wife was giving them a hassle lol... but they just responded with smiles and even more hospitality.

I even checked the price we were given and it's well under the average, not including the discount.

The Carpet Guys installed new wall to wall carpeting in my home in Macomb County MI. The people were polite to talk to over the phone, my sales person was very friendly and helpful, my installers were great too. I can not complain at all, these guys did a fantastic job. Good Michigan company to buy carpet from in Metro Detroit.

The Carpet Guys were extremely helpful as well as professional. I am happy that I chose to do business with them over the other bids that I received. They were genuine and very attentive to detail.

Installation Rating = F

Installation-they installed 62 yards (558 ft2) of carpet; they put a seam exactly dead center point of my stairs, which ran 11 foot vertical from the stairs to the wall (right in the walkway). They also spliced in an additional 12” x 12” piece at the base of my stairs. This carpet had no nap and there were 3 total panels over the entire room so there was simply no need for this placement other than the installer didn’t know what he was doing. I had an 11 foot by 4 foot of extra carpet left over. Worst installer EVER.

Timing – quoted 2 to 3 weeks for carpet arrival, it arrived in 4 weeks

Installation timing – They promised next day installation then they couldn’t fit me in for 7 calendar days.

Communication – Left several message (4 times), they don’t bothered to call anyone back.

Measurement – First measurement was 60 yards, then when I went to order it became 62 yard.

Pricing - $350 higher than lowest quote, but I thought I would get professionalism; boy was I mistaken. Sales rep wouldn’t honor the $100 off coupon until I told him I wouldn’t give him the business.

Great carpet! Kevin sold us beautiful carpet that matched our home decor, Brad and Efron installed it, and it looks great! They work with all budgets :)
