Drove from Chicago , who checks the A/C in winter ? Opp's, not working, wife not very happy....Local dealer will take us on Wed...check Yellow pages to Shifting Gears Auto. Called got apt this very day @ 4:00 p.m. Service took 30 min. Steve reports our system was not empty so he lowered the cost estimate and also put in a dye so my local dealer could find the leak. Wife now happy. thanks for the great service and lower cost...bkerlin

Came there to fix three things. Heat, window regulator and put thermostat. Car was standing there three weeks, Steve didn't find why car doesn't heat. They scratched my car, somebody stole my cassette decoder. And when they put back the window regulator, they broke the door and broke a tint.

My wife and I were in Key West on vacation and needed to have the freon charged on our ’96 Honda Civic. Not knowing where to take the car for service, I found Shifting Gears online and read some favorable reviews, and took it there this morning. They not only charged the freon but found the persistent leak that my mechanic back home had not found. Andy was the mechanic, did a fantastic job and Steve, the owner, is a very nice man and was very fair with the $70.00 he charged to cover a pound of freon and a half hour of labor for finding and fixing the leaks (replacing two O-Rings at two joints took care of the problem). The AC is working great and I want to highly recommend Shifting Gears for your auto repairs when in Key West.

I drove down to Key West for vacation. When I got here I started having transmission trouble. I thought I was in big trouble but took a chance on Shifting Gears because I saw some good reviews. I told Steve (he runs the shop) my transmission was slipping. He said it could be something electrical. It turned out that's exactly what it was. I was expecting to have to go for a rebuilt transmission and it basically just cost me for a relatively inexpensive repair. I was very impressed with the competency and honesty that I received at Shifting Gears. I was also impressed with the fact that when I made an appointment to bring my truck in they started working on it at the time I brought it in and got it back the same day.

I dont know where to start i moved to key west from charleston where there are many bmw mechanics in key west none,,so one of my coworker recommended Steve and i took my BMW there i was very happy with the price and service so i took it back occasionaly and after i bought another Bmw also for future racing purposes and since i bought Steve and his crew has been like a family they maybe see my car more than i do :) They know all kinds of cars, reasonable price especially for KEY WEST!!! they will never rip you off you can count on me as long as they keep up with this good service and prices Ill always take my cars there and yeah i just had a clutch problem but no worries thats their field... i would higly recommend not only in key west in the whole Florida and im very picky guy when it comes to my cars which is my biggest hobby .. I hope it helps...
