        Will you be visiting visiting family or friends or maybe a business trip to Southeastern Michigan? In addition to the small Village ambiance of Clarkston, we have become a culinary destination thanks to Guy Fieri highlighting two of Clarkston's restaurants on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives " (Interview with Kid Rock and Guy Fieri). In addition to the WoodShop and the Clarkston Union ( if the waits are too long), there are several other restaurants that are also worth the trip. Joan's breakfasts are a wonderful way to end your visit in Clarkston. These are also a culinary delight. Located in the north Detroit suburbs, it is a short trip to many of the Detroit Area attractions and businesses. Summer is a great time to visit the Clarkston with its many lakes, golf courses (over 60 within 1 hour) , parks, events. Affordable day passes are available for the Deer Lake Athletic Club (swimming, exercise, tennis, and racquet ball) only 5 minutes away. The Every season is very special at the Millpond Inn with special attention to decorating giving it a warmth and feeling reminiscent of days gone by.
