The East Baton Rouge Parish Library serves the residents of the parish as an educational, informational, recreational and cultural center through a variety of resources, services and programs. It has a staff of more than 300 employees and operates over 10 regional branch libraries. The library has a collection of nearly 2 million items, including books, journals, videotapes, magazines and compact discs. The East Baton Rouge Parish Library also features a special collection for children, such as nonfiction books and classics. Its adult services and circulation division promotes adult reading through a variety of means, including collection development, programming and displays. The library additionally operates a reference division that provides information assistance and online databases. The East Baton Rouge Parish Library is located in Baton Rouge, La.
