        Bart is a specialist dog trainer of international repute. His dogs Toy and Junior have won several FCI Dog Obedience competitions in Belgium, Netherlands and Europe. He is a world IPO competitor. Currently he is training is new Dog Falca, a female German Shepherd. Born in Belgium, Bart spend his whole life living with German Shepherd’s. He holds a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior and became a Dog Trainer on the age of 18 and worked with dogs ever since. Bart has over 20 years of experience and has worked with hundreds of family, sport, show, working and Police K9s. Bart is the head trainer of ISDC and if frequently asked to give training seminars all over Europe and the USA. He coaches many Obedience and Schutzhund trainers to top scores, displays his techniques to Police Service Dogs, coaches training helpers and helps many of the recreational working dog owners to produce well behaved canine companions, neverlosing sight of the importance of the dog's drive and attitude. He is a specialist in Working Dog Behavior, Drive, Temperament and disposition in all breeds but is specialized in German Shepherd’s and Belgian Malinois.

        Overall

        Bart of the Innovative Sport Dog Community is by far the best trainer I have ever worked with. I own 3 German Shepherd, 2 males and 1 female. I have had experience with at least 6 other trainers in the area. I live in the Olympia, Tacoma, WA area. and none have been able to give me the results that I have so wished for in my feisty female. In the short time I have worked with Bart, her behavior has greatly improved. His ability to understand dogs and working with their owner is incredible. He is a behaviorist and have never seen someone interact with dogs as he does.



        If you're looking for a trainer that is an expert with proven accomplishments, don't look any further. He is not the cheapest but so worth the money!

        Overall

        don't throw out 5 Stars for nothing. A business has to really impress me and I am not easily impressed.



        Protection Dog/Police Dog/Schutzhund/Service Dog training is a fine art. A lot of people SAY they can do this, (and a few even have their own TV shows... lol) but not many are truly effective. Bart de Gols of the ISDC actually do get results. I have seen it with my own eyes.



        The proprietor has a Ph.D. in animal behavior and is the trainer for several local police agencies. I have seen his work on display at the schutzhund competitions and the dogs he works with tend to score higher than average. He does right by us and our puppy.



        For anyone considering protection training or high competition in schutzhund, you need to know that it isn't cheap and it isn't (usually) fast. No matter who you use, it will not come cheap. ISDC' s prices are reasonable relative to the competition. He isn't the cheapest, but we get good value and get good results.



        Go see the dogs he has trained at the trials some time and then judge for yourself.
