Cassidy is fantastic! She always colors and cuts my hair. I tried someone else before when she was booked and got a terrible color. Cassidy does a great job everytime and I will never use anyone else.

Let me preface this by saying I have never before written a negative review for service, after my unfortunate experience at this Salon and Day Spa I feel compelled to do so.

As a woman over 50 who enjoys the sun, I don't have unrealistic expectations when it comes to facials but my expectation is that I will come out feeling and looking better than I did when I went in. That was sadly anything but the case today.

It started in the usual way, I was ushered into a room to disrobe, I'm used to being given a gown or robe but this wasn't the case. The only thing on the bed was a well worn, unfresh sheet but as she was entering the room, I used it to cover up for modesty. For me part of the spa/facial experience I enjoy the most is being cocooned in warm blankets, I shivered through this experience with only a used sheet, when I complained "Wanda" laughed and said only that the massage therapist she shared the room with likes it cold.

When Wanda first greeted me, for politeness's sake I popped a tictac to freshen my breath, unfortunately Wanda had coffee in hand and let's just say the only aromatherapy I was treated to was pungent breath, up close and personal.

I regularly have anti-aging facials and have done so since I turned 40, I told Wanda that I was used to the heavy anti-aging mask used and she said she found this abrasive, she then proceeded to pull out two devises that can only be described as Emory boards and told me she was "debriding" my face. Unconventional, but at that point I still thought she knew what she was doing.

What followed was the worst part, as usual, I pointed out the few black heads on my cheeks for attention. I am used to spas using a vacuum extractor to clean my pores, instead Wanda used her unloved fingers in a manner that can only be described as popping zits. Needless to say, my entire cheeks are covered in bruises! I have pictures and am trying to see how to post them here.

The remainder of the facial, as I shivered consisted of her pulling at my face with a metal device mainly in the eye area leaving my eyes presently swollen and actually sore.

She said I must be taking blood thinning medication which I certainly do not, nor have I ever taken them and she also blatantly lied and said I told her I bruise easily which couldn't be further from the truth, in fact my skin doesn't even redden when I have my brows or lip waxed.

At the end when I asked where to deposit the sheet she told me it stays on the bed....ewwww!

When I exited to the reception area, I told my friends waiting there turn not to do it. The three girls at the desk laughed and one actually said through laughter "Wanda was rough on you". Even when I showed them the bruising and was on the brink of tears I didn't even get an apology. My biggest regret is that I always try to avoid confrontation so I actually paid for this mutilation. When I posted pictures of the mess of my face with my explanation, it was immediately removed so I feel I have no recourse other than to warn others. Do not have a facial here!
