Michigan Motor Exchange

I never expected to be replacing an engine at this point and time in my life. But this truck has literally saved my life more than once. So I was suffering anxiety issues worry-ing about if I had done the right thing, and a few various other issues. The guys at your Westland store, have put EVERY worry about my truck at rest. I have an F-150, 2004, I bought brand new in 2003. I couldn't part with her just because I wore the engine out. I changed the oil at 200 miles, and the guys that did the oil change were sooooo impressed, they took my business cards for your stores! THANK YOU MICHIGAN MOTOR EXCHANGE!!!!, for keeping my family safer in this world of slightly untalented drivers! SORRY, but I drive different machines and equipment professionally, so THANK YOU for letting me keep my "peace-of-mind!" I would be very proud to be a reference for you guys, and "THANK YOU VETS!" It is indeed a challenge to write a review about Michigan Motor Exchange and refrain from the use of expletives that would not be appropriate on this site. DISGUSTING is a word that comes to mind quite often when describing the experience. Short and sweet version is that they had my vehicle three times and I got GARBAGE back each time. In my case, I found that the good people at Michigan Motor Exchange do not practice what they preach. Their advertising is loaded with reference to God, the golden rule, an honest job for honest wages, customer satisfaction being the highest priority and a never ending stream of five star reviews. They claim to do their work to the highest industry standards, by certified professionals. The puffery is amazing and one could be taken in by all the reviews that tout quick turn around times, above and beyond care and workmanship, wonderful tours of neat facilities, hundreds of thousands of miles on engines that ALL run like tops and never leak anything. Well, after $4,500 and many more thousands in incidental fees...and a year of misery and hardship...I still have GARBAGE parked in my driveway! It is easy to talk about how wonderful you are and to have reviews to back that up. It is another matter entirely to be so arrogant when you know that you have provided a defective product to a customer and have failed in your empty promises to remedy the situation. My trust in the management of Michigan Motor Exchange evaporated after my third visit. To make more promises to me, to offer a rental vehicle, to offer tow service and absolutely free repair to an engine that has been contaminated for more than a year is way too little and way too late! I question that the engine could be repaired properly after all this time. You may stop the contamination but what would I have as far as future problems. I've had too many promises and personal guarantees that produced nothing but more grief. I don't trust you! I would not recommend you! REFUND?
