I have had lots of work done by fix masters. I was one of his first customers. He is excellent! He makes sure the problem is fixed correctly. He is very resonably priced, considering what you would otherwise have to throw away something valuable. He is very honest and stands behind his work. He really knows his stuff. I have had only positive experiences and I have been going to him for 5 or 6 years.

Joesph buffed and polished an antique brass lamp for us. Joesph has the equipment to buff and polish all types of metal items. He is very thorough and very knowledgeable in his work, and the end results are stunning - an old item that was rusted and/or tarnished is buffed and polished and made into a beautiful onject again. He also rewired and cleaned up an antique juicer for us (from the 1940's). Joesph is always willing to take on a new challenges, and very resourceful in finding solutions to problems. He is pleasant and serious about his work, and offers advice about car and maintenance of items.

I wanted to make sue that an old Osterizer blender I had, which had not been used in over 20 years, was still in good working condition. Joseph was not able to take apart some parts of the blender due to their age. He cleaned what inner workings he could get to and charged me only $10 for that service, sayng I would likely get another 4 or 5 years of use out of the blender. I appreciated Joseph's honesty and prompt attention. I will definately use his service for future repairs.

I dropped and broke a lamp that sat on a bureau. A mid-section completely shattered. I brought it to Fix Masters and we agreed that he would just shorten the lamp as opposed to trying to find a part to replace the mid-section that shattered (which he very nicely offered to try and do). The work is excellent. You would never be able to tell that there is a section missing. I know that it's a bit shorter but, because it sits on a bureau, the height, to me, is still more than acceptable. And the price was beyond resonable at only $20. He promised it back to me within 10 days and he was right on target.

An old brass chandelier and 4 brass sconces were rewired and polished. I am satisfied wit the quality of this work. His ability to refurbish p;dpieces of sconces originally used during the era of gas lighting was excellent.

I called to ask about bringing older/vintage floor lamp for rewiring; recieved instructions about hours of operation and location; brought floor lamp to store front shop. And, I was given information about replacement wiring and recommendation about improving function of the 2 hanging light sockets of the lamp. Price was quoted and expected time that floor lamp would be ready for pick up. I recieved call when lamp was ready (within expected timeframe). I paid the amount due ($60) and returned home with a perfectly functioning floor lamp.

Unprofessional, rude and don't expect what you want

I paid $125.00 to have my mothers Kitchenaid refurbished. The check was cashed immediately and it took two 1/2 months to get the mixer back. I never recieved a breakdown of what work was done and when I called I was told "I don't do that". He became angry that I was questioning him. I also told him that a piece of the mixer was broken and what he intended to do about that. He denied any responsibility and did not offer any corrective solution. I was not impressed with this rude man and he did not refurbish the mixer, all he did was clean it and fix things that did not need to be fixed and break things that were not broken. DO NOT GO HERE, he has no respect for what people want, what they are paying for and that they have the right to get a reciept with a breakdown of the work completed.

Did a substandard job on rewiring a vintage lighting fixture for me--it crashed from the ceiling because he didn't secure the lamp to the wiring properly and shattered. I told him about it and he would not even refund me for the amount I paid him--I didn't even mention the light fixture in our discussion. A really rude and crafty fellow.
