Overall
Whole Foods Is Good Value

I shop at Whole Foods because I feel confident that the quality is good and because for most of the things I buy, the prices are lower.

Yesterday I bought Organic Cherry Juice (a quart) for $4.69; it costs $5.95 for non-organic at my local grocery store. I bought Pomegranate Juice (a quart) for $4.99; it costs $9.95 at my local store. I bought a box of organic oat bran cereal for $2.29; it doesn't exist at my local store, but regular cereal runs between $4 and $5. I bought half an ounce of organic dried parsley for 42 cents; the regular dried parsley at my local store is between $3 and $4 for half an ounce. New crop apples were 99 cents a pound and I could buy as many or as few as I wanted. My local store sells them occasionally at that price but you have to buy a minimum of 5 pounds. Whole Foods brand milk is cheaper than the store brands elsewhere. The Whole Foods brand canned foods are comparable in price to Walmart. I fail to see why anyone would shop anywhere else -- except that there are not enough Whole Foods stores around for everyone. It's always crowded.

Overall
Refrigerated apples

I am looking forward to the opening of your new store. I have noticed that you do not refrigerate your apples in other stores and hope that you will refrigerate them in this new one. Apples need to be kept 34 degrees at 90 percent humidity in order to stay crisp and tart. I would love to find crispy, tarte Macintosh apples in your store this time of year when they are in season. The apple must pop in your mouth and drip juice down your cheeks. Each year I order apples from up north and pay the extra price to ship them within 3 days. I pay three dollars an apple for this treat, so keep that in mind and don't skimp.

I am fed up with publix and winn dixie. Their produce sucks and they "after ten years" have not taken my advise on apples. If you want my complete business, refrigerate your apples from the time they are picked until I purchase them. This is not a request, it is a demand!
