There are not enough words to express my thanks. I am so very lucky, as my darling Annabell, and I are to have you. Your generosity is over-whelming and I am eternally grateful. Thank you!

I bought my first Irish Terrier from Toureen Pet Resort and Spa in 1964. Although I do not travel very much anymore I still use this place faithfully because they are absolutely wonderful.

I would not consider leaving my dog anywhere but here. This is the only place Atti has ever gone into wagging his tail.

Recently took my cat here for grooming and I was pleasantly pleased with the outcome. He can be a bit of a pain especially if you try to hold him down for more of a few seconds. However, the crew at Toureen Pet Resort/Spa was able to give him the grooming that a well behaved cat should receive. For the services, grooming and shave down, the prices were great. I dropped him off first thing in the morning and he was ready for pickup at lunch time. For the fast turnaround, competitive prices and service I have to give Toureen five stars.

I agree with emma!

OK I'll admit. I am friends with Emma and she did mention the bad review to me. I am one of the people she recommended the place to, who loves it. I have only been a customer for two years, but they are the best! If you live in newton you probably know my bulldog George, and he loves it there.

Best Place Ever!

I was looking for the new number and I can't believe the review I just read. I have been going to Toureen for the past six dogs ( some of them overlap), and i have never had a problem of any kind! Whatsmore, I have recommended this kennel to everyone I know, and they have never let me down. I am going to board my two black labs with them this weekend and I am grateful that I can go away and not worry about my dogs. I cant say enough positive things about this place. I know they are kind because of the way they have handled my older dogs. I had to bring one of them in a k-9 cart because her back legs no longer worked. What other place would take care of that?

This place is probably the best kennel in Mass. If you go to any dog park or vet and ask who people recommend for boarding they will all say Toureen Pet Resort. That is how I found them. My wife and I are originally from Texas, and when we were moving up here, we called 5 veterinarians and told them we were moving up to Mass, and where would they reccomend we board our dogs. Four of them said Toureen Pet Resort. Not only have they been around FOREVER, but the owners are great. My goofy terier loves it there.

Overall
our puppy not the same

My two dogs spent 1 night at toureen. They have stayed there approx 4 times before and each time with no adverse event. They were always happy when we picked them up. On this occasion, when they were brought to us, one of our dogs was behaving normally (jumping) while the other was as follows: lethargic, tail between legs, no eye contact, a much worsened limp and with no affect. This is not her baseline. She is a happy jumping, friendly, pup at baseline. We tried walking around to see if she was ok and we stopped due to the limp and her appearing unwell. My fiancé approached to lift her into the car and she began whimpering. I have NEVER heard my dog whimper - ever. We placed her in the car and she kept panting and licking her lips as if she was thirsty - she drank profusely indicating a lack of water there. Once in the car she would not look out the window and would not let me scratch her belly (also unusual). When I looked at her typically white paws I could see and smell that they were yellow due to urine. Once we arrived home I put her on the ground (again she whimpered) - however her tail began to wag a little once we were at home. That said, since she has returned home she has not barked. She typically is known as a barky dog and it seems as if something happened in the kennel, as her behavior and affect are altered. Also, she has a sore spot on her back which seems to precipitate the whimpering. I went to the kennel and spoke with the owner this morning indicating that I just wanted to know what happened and if they could tell me that and give an apology then I would have no need to file a complaint. They denied that there was anything amiss with my dog and that she was "playful". They also denied any marked limp. They stonewalled and minimized what I was saying, while claiming to be concerned for my dog. He offered no further investigation and only stated that nothing happened and she was fine (though they did take responsibility for not cleaning the urine off of her). Clearly she is not and was not if our first impressions when we saw her nearly moved us to take her to the ER. Today we are going to the vet to ascertain the cause of the whimpering and any other psychological damage caused by some type of abuse my dog received. This is a happy puppy that has no history of separation anxiety or depression. I truly feel that someone took abusive actions towards my dog while she was barking and hence the present lack there of. Further troubling me was the dismissiveness and defensiveness of the owner under the thin veil of concern.
