Discount Battery

I have been buying batteries from your Waterford Twp. Store since 2004. We own five cars, two boats, a truck, motorhome with two coach batteries and one chassis battery, as well as three lawn tractors to maintain my three properties. My point being: I purchase an average of two to three batteries from your company/year. I have always been treated with respect and honesty anytime I have come in to purchase a battery and is why I drive by AutoZone to get to your store instead. That all changed today.

I called to inquire about the availability of a battery for one of the tractors. The fellow that took my call was courteous and helpful as usual. I recognized his voice, as he has help me a number of times in the past. He said he had what I needed, so I headed across town (10 miles from where I was at the time). When I got there I was greeted by a younger guy, with tattoos and a piercing in his nose or lip. When I told him what I was there for, he said “sorry, all we have is a used one. I said that I just got off the phone and was told you did have it. He said yep, but we just sold it. With a long sigh, I said okay take my core and call me when your truck comes in and I’ll come get one. His response was a completely un-empathic: “we don’t call people and there’s no core value.” I was getting a little irritated with his smart ass millennial attitude, but kept my mouth shut and just told him that I had ordered batteries a number of times and they had called me. So, he reluctantly grabs a sticky pad and asks what my number is. As I’m giving him my phone number he is looking off in a distance (like I’m such a pain in the ass) while his hand is jotting down the number. Again, he says we don’t normally do this, so you might not get a call, sticks the sticky note next to the rest of them and picks up the phone without saying anything else. I shook my head and walked out. Shawn just burned our long standing business relationship with his poor attitude.

I called and then went to Discount Battery for a battery for my truck. The guys there were awesome! Very friendly and polite. They went went the extra mile for me when there was some issues hooking my battery back up. DEFINITELY the place to go for a battery!!!!

If you want to get the right battery for what ever you have these guys are great. There is nothing worst then buying the wrong battery and finding out that you got to go back and get the right one. I hate to waste time and money Nice folks with the right answer

i went for a battery and they tightened up my connections and sent me on my way. thats all i needed. no charge. wow!
