CJ's Upper Deck

This has to be one of the most racist experiences I've had in my life the bouncer who is also African American made every excuse in the book not to let me in he said I couldn't wear my jacket in because it had a hood on it but I seen at least 5 other (white) people with almost the same jacket on be let in without a problem, if I wasn't with other (white) people who had already gotten in I would of left . I asked if I could take it back to my car because I didn't want to ruin everybody else's fun he said yes so I had to walk back from my car in the rain 34 degree weather without a jacket. upon my return he said my pants were too big I'm 6'1 220lbs I had on size 38 cargo pants that fit me just right . I've been living in this area almost my whole life and I've always heard these type of stories about this place but never thought I would experience it first hand. If your young and black stay away from this place the dress code is meant to keep us out I'm not even that young I'm 32 so I guess if your black stay away period I could of came in with a tux on and I'm sure he would of found some reason to deny me entry

The manager Julian was very rude, at one point we left the table to go outside and smoke and we informed the waitress who was the only bright spot of the entire place. We returned to our table to find the manager Julian had removed our drinks and the waitress apologized and told us she would replace them. She returned with 1/2 filled drinks one of which was a bottle of beer. We were told they were half full when Julian took them. I was afraid to drink the 1/2 beer since I did not know where the bar could have found a 1/2 bottle of beer unless they opened it and poured 1/2 out which did not make any sense. The food we ordered was not very good. When we complained to Julian he basically told us to blank off. Now bare in mind I am a 50 year old male who is not used to being treated this way when I am out. I will never return to this establishment and would strongly urge that you do not either.

Don't eat there you about to pay out the wazoo. On Weds their all you can eat crab legs has a catch. Your tip is added to your bill with an 18% gratuity. No matter the size of your party.

Excellent place, hands down. I love the drink specials on Thursdays and Saturdays...2-1-2

Basically this is how it works...

$2 Mixed drinks from 9-10pm (Virtually almost anything you can think of...I drink 7 and 7 and they actually use Seagram's 7 and not some knockoff whiskey)

$1 Beers from 10-11pm

$2 Mixed drinks again from 11-12am



You just can't beat the deals they offer here. Plus the patio is great, it's even packed in the winter time with 6" of snow. I prefer to hang out on the patio in the summer though and relax by the bonfire pits.



Great food too.

I have been to Cjs Upper Deck many times since they have opened, and I have had nothing but great times there. Great food, strong drinks keep me coming back. They seem to always have something going on during the week like karaoke or live music, the weekends are packed maybe because of the 2-1-2. Love this place and I will keep coming back
