Dr. Hneich began her medical career as a Gynecologist after completion of residency in Gynecology and Human Reproduction at Carlos J Bello Hospital – Venezuelan Red Cross in 1989. Dr. Hneich then completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Surgery at the same institution in 1993.

Dr. Hneich proceeded to complete a U.S. Residency training program in Psychiatry at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington D.C. During training Dr. Hneich acted as chief resident. She also received a special award from the Council Doctors of the District of Columbia for her work in serving homeless population in the District of Columbia; as well as an award from the Residents’ Union for her service as the Union Representative for 4 consecutive years.
