Shelby Dental Center

I have been to this place a couple of times. I have Medicaid right now and this is the only place that i could find. I didn't really care for them. I went in to have a tooth filled and they were very rough. The assistant put too much water in my mouth during the procedure and didn't give me a chance to swallow. In the initial exam, they did xrays and found that i have a baby tooth toward the front. They wanted to pull it!!! There is nothing wrong with it and i have never had problems so why would you pull it? I probably won't go back.

Horrible Experience!! This was Oak Park Location, but I am sure he is the same in Shelby!! He put two crowns in my mouth within two years, one fell off after about 1 month, then he glued it back. After about 1 year both teeth needed root canals which I had to go to an Endodontists, which then cost me $1200.00 per tooth, one crown gets hooked on dental floss all the time, now I have to get both teeth removed and have implants because none of the crowns fit properly. Oh and not to mention he left me in the room and forgot about me for 2 hours and I fell asleep. Just horrible, while there I heard other patients yelling in pain as he would proceed to fix their teeth with out enough Novocaine or what ever he is supposed to use, I myself was curled up in the chair as he was trying to pry the temporary crown off my tooth and proceed to grind it with out anything! This was all because I was on a very limited income and could not afford another dentist and now he has cost me money I have to get a lone out to pay someone else to fix my mouth. He thrives on these low income people and they do not know any better. I even saw him take dental instruments that were not even sterilized out and reuse them and never change his gloves from one person to the next and also his girl did the same thing!!!!GROSS!

Worst dentist place I've ever been to. The staffs were rude. The Doctor doesn't explain himself all the way. Had my teeth clean there and he didn't even do a good job. Plus he was really rough when he was cleaning my teeth also. Also, he wasn't really caring either. All he wanted to do was to get it over with and hand over the rest to his assistants. And who wants to go to a place where he doesn't even trust his staffs with the money that's coming in. I had to WAIT for my change because it was IN THE DOCTORS POCKET!!! This is the most ridiculous place I have ever been to. I've went there once and will never return there ever again. I'm surprised this guy is still open. With multiple offices!

Horrible office unsanitary scam. Ive had 3 root canals on the same tooth and theres still an infection and im still in pain this started in September and he wants to do a 4th root canal when he was supposed to wait till there was NO infection to proceed. Hes had me on constant antibiotics for months and they have no effect on me anymore and in horrible constant pain. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO ANYWHERE ELSE

DIRTY.. UNSANITARY..SMALL AND ONLY THING MISSING WERE THE WHEELS AND YOU WOULD HAVE A MOBILE DENTIST. But I would have felt safer with a mobile dentist, I mean this place had a portable xray unit, because it is that small. There is no hygienist and the dentist cleans the teeth.....this is a red flag people!!! I watched assistants wearing contaminated gloves going into cabinets and touching everything and spreading germs everywhere. I got out of there as quick as possible and will never be going back. The dentist stood up while looking at my son, there were no chairs in the operatories. Just plain weird!!

Perhaps they forgot to pay the bill? On Tues. August 26th, BOTH phone numbers are "temporarily disconnected" for Shelby Dental. FYI...this place is in a strip mall! :(



My spouse needed some work done so we erroneously thought Shelby Dental would be the place to go for this. Shelby Dental assured my husband that they'd call "the moment his bridge arrived from the lab". Riiiiight. I had to chase them down for that info. Today I tried calling to get more info regarding his appointment scheduled for later this week...and guess what? Their phones are disconnected!

This Dentist is not like any other Dentist. He listens to you, and offers a solution that won't cause you to go bankrupt. Dr. Kizzy understands that not everyone can afford thousands of dollars for dental work, but this doesn't mean they don't care about the health of their teeth either. He is a wonderful, busy, patient, kind person that I am proud to call my dentist. He will work out a payment plan with you and unlike other dentists, when he says payment plan, he means it.
