Overall
Expertise

Not a very good experience at all. I have used their services several times but they have been a disappointment in more than one occasion :( They have butchered the haircut even when it was supposed to be a close shave and patches of hair were everywhere, they have not been bathed and didn't get for nails clipped (not all at the same appointment). And lastly even if you make an appointment make it for the earliest time available because of you show up ahead of time they can still tell you the cages are full with a smile. Not a great experience over all

I like to just drop off w/o app. I don't care if it takes longer that way. Thanks for taking good care in Grooming my little Yorkie TIA & my daughter's dog SABASTAIN!!

A dog day out is awesome:):) They are very reasonable in charges, kind and my dogs love going there. They are very helpful and knowledgeable about animals, so any issues you have with your pets, ask and Anita has a answer or will find out. Its a wonderful shop for grooming.

I've been taking my Siberian H...

I've been taking my Siberian Husky, Lucy, here since they opened. Even our vet refused to try to bathe my dog, because she is so aggressive. She completely destroys muzzles and has always had to be sedated for baths and grooming. Well, that is, until I started taking her to A Pet's Day Out. The first time, I took her in sedated. She came out clean and neat, having been given a very short summer haircut. I was charged about 1/3 the price quoted by other places to clip her! Every time since, Lucy has done fantastic - I don't sedate her any more, and Anita even took video of Lucy licking her and loving on her! Nobody else has ever been able to get near Lucy's feet, but Anita doesn't have any problem. The office staff has always been very nice and polite. Whoever is posting these hateful posts is nuts - I would be glad to give you a personal recommendation!

Happy girl

I was looking up the phone number to make my babies an appointment out of curiosity read the reviews. I was very surprised. I have two daschunds that are our babies. I have always been very pleased with the service and the friendly staff. The prices are great too. I will say I don't like leaving them too too long, but so far it hasn't been an issue! I'm glad to have such nice people to take my babies to! When I pick them up they smell like cookies and are clean and shiny!

Our Experience:

While we are human and prone to error and oversight, it seems a lot was overlooked in the grooming of my dog. And though I question whether or not my pet was even actually bathed, I do know this: The inside of the ears had not been trimmed, nails looked untouched, eye matter, her rear looked dirty and worst of all, she had a cut on her side from I am guessing either clippers or scissors. Again, while any single one of these things can and do happen, to have experienced it all in one visit seems to speak more about the quality or lack thereof in the work of this groomer. Our experience: A Pet's Day Out was A Pet's Day Nightmare.

Overall
Response to the negative comments

First let say that the person writing these negative comments is the same people and their friends that were complaining about their dogs being here so long one day when they showed up two hours late for their appointment... and even ask me to do two more dogs on top of the one..I told them yes I would still do them if they did not mind them being here a majority of the day because I had already filled their spots and they would come last. That was fine with them at the time, but after 4 hours changed their mind.

I have NEVER been out chasing anyone's dog EVER in my 15 years of grooming. Well, once about 6 years ago when a lady thought she did not need to put her dog on a leash while leaving and when they walked out the door it ran off from her...my son actually chased it down and caught it for her...this was not something we did, but was glad of course to help out the lady catch her dog. =)

Never are dogs put in the same cages...UNLESS, they come from the same household!

All my dogs are caged seperately and never combined!!

I was a Vet. Tech for 5 years before I became a Groomer and I am very passionate about what I do because I am a HUGE animal lover! I treat customers pets just as I would my own!

Before taking the negative comments to heart.. do not be afraid to drop by and come check us out for yourself. We are not a fancy place but we do good quality work and its done with the love for what we do!

As far as the comment of the rude girl up front...she is my daughter and has been told that she has a wonderful personality and all my customers love her! Same as with my son, he works here as well.....we are family owned and operated!

I think its awful that anyone can log on and post bogus stuff, but that is everyone's right to voice their opinion being truth or not.

Give us a try...you cant beat our prices, our concerns, or the care that your pet will receive...oh, by the way...on the other comment about the nails on her dog and her having to leave it to have it done....it takes me 1 to 2 minutes to cut nails...that would of never happened!

Give us a try...you will LOVE us....prices are VERY reasonable, attention to detail is awesome...you will NOT be dissatisfied!!

Overall
Outstanding!

I went here to get my three dogs done and I was very impressed overall.

Not only was I offered a multiple dog discount, my dogs got free bows and bandanas!

Now, they were busy but I can see why! They take walk-ins where other grooming places do not, and the employees there were very friendly and on key with what I wanted done to my babies.

dissatisfied!!

very dissatisfied, my dogs were there for 6 hours and didn't get finished. they spent 6 hours in a cage waiting to be taken care of. 2 dogs per cage! I agreed to that but did not expect them to be there that long. when I went to pick them up after waiting all day for a phone call, I couldn't believe they were not ready. When we got upset, the staff was totally rude! will not go there again, they take too many dogs in a day, can't take care of them in a reasonable amount of time!!

Overall
horrible experience

I would reccomend anyone interested in coming here to turn around and head elsewhere! I made an appointment and dropped my dog off at 9:45am. after 7 HOURS of hearing nothing from them and getting voicemail everytime I tried to contact them I decided to go there and see what was going on. my dog was still sitting in the very same kennel they had put her in when I left her. I just asked to take her and told them I would have to reschedule. after getting a snotty look from the front office girl she went and got who I assume is anita, the groomer. she came out and automatically started yelling and cussing about how she had 43 dogs to groom that day and how it takes time. I honestly do not see how her overbooking herself had anything to do with my situation. she also insisted I pay even though my animal had not been groomed. when I said absolutley not she threatened to call the cops. I paid just so I could get me and my dog out of there!! I will NEVER be going back!

Prior to cops showing up, they were in my lobby slandering me to other customers whom in return thought she was very inconsiderate and rude. I did have (38) dogs that day and was very busy but had no other customers mad or rude at me at all. Also, I never cursed at either one of them at anytime, but I did politely ask her daughter to find another groomer. I even tried to explain to them that I was the only groomer around that excepted walk-ins and that they should be appreciative of the fact that after being 45 minutes late that I even still took there dog and the (2) extra ones on top of that. Anyway, that is the TRUTH to the story above...she did not pay to just get her dog out of there because it was so terrible, she paid because the LAW made her. Thanks to all of you who appreciate me and hope to see you soon! Also thanks to these peoples friends whom have called me and apologized for their behavior and who have assured me that they will return. She had threatened to ruin my reputation as a groomer of 15 years, and she can keep trying...but the good will survive!
