Shore Mortgage

If I could give them zero stars I would.

It has been a month since my original closing date and they keep giving me the run around. Every time that I actually get to speak to them, they give me the False hope that we can get the clear to close in a day or two but I realized very quickly that those were just empty promises. No idea when I can potentially close. My sellers are ready to back out of the deal. They are largely unresponsive and never answer the phone and rarely respond to emails.

Supposedly they have some issue with the appraisal and I've received multiple emails from the appraisal company that are apparently revisions. The appraisal is what it is. Why do they think they can manipulate the appraisal?? The appraisal company even refuses to speak to me to try and understand what the real issue is, they just refer me back to the mortgage company.

I was originally quoted a rate of 3.5 now they are saying the rate is 4.5 and that I'm no longer locked in. The delay is completely their fault.

They promised me "no lender closing cost" and a 1% rebate that can be used toward down payment or closing costs. When I didn't see that reflected on the disclosure forms and I asked about it and for a detail of exactly what the closing costs would be, I was told to wait until the loan closed and they would tell me exactly how much. I wasn't told until after I signed the disclosure forms that I would need to pay for a year of insurance upfront. Maybe that is standard but as a first time home buyer, I had no idea and so that's another expense I have to account for.

And I just found out by reading a previous review that they don't allow biweekly payments and they charge 7.50 for extra non-scheduled payments. That is so unacceptable. What bank does that? No prepayment penalty per-se but they make it really hard and expensive for you to pay it off early!

This company is the absolute worst. Avoid them at all costs!

Everyone we dealt with at Shore was amazing. They were incredibly personable, professional, and provided thorough, quick responses to any questions we had. Randall Grey was great. They all where professionals, responsive, and did everything they said. Everything went as smooth as possible. I was learey about using an online fianance company but I am not now.

Very satisfied with this company. We dealt with a horrible company (embrace home loans) before shore mortgage who constantly gave us the run around for a year and then our loan didn't go through. We then spoke to Alex Beydoun from shore mortgage, who was very honest with us from the beginning. He was also very determined to get our loan rolling right away which was great. If it wasn't for Alex Beydoun I don't think we would have refinanced. We also dealt with Iva Kajdic for the majority of our loan process and we were very pleased with her, as to getting back to us in a timely manner if we had any questions or concerns. I was also very pleased in the time it took to close the loan. Would highly recommend this company to others. Thank you shore mortgage for a job well done.

Shore Mortgage is a very professional group of people. They are very helpful and will will expedite the closing of your mortgage. I had locked a very nice interested rate thru another Mortgage Company, when a crook from SHORE MARTGAGE (located at 770 S Adams Birmingham, MI. 48009) named Joseph D. Sheeran/Senior Loan Officer/ NMLS # 171399 (Toll free 800-760-3128 x5333 Cell 248-980-1354 Fax 248-594-6151) called me and promised that if I close the mortgage with him, I would have better interest rate and lower cost. Everything that I want to hear, right! No!! It was the worst mistake that I ever made. I never should be listened this crook. I applied for a remortgage, I appraised the house, and I transferred my home insurance from my current bank to them. Then, the nightmare started. Joe Sheeran started to postpone the closing date, stop to answer my phone calls, and then I find out that he NEVER LOCKED my interest rate. I could not believe that someone in this business would do some bad job like that! This is basic for a loan officer. Imagine for Mr. Senior Loan Officer/ NMLS # 171399. The SOB was playing with me. Finally, I succeed hold his boss (another crook) named Jillian Mantua (Direct Lending Manager NMLS# 28193), and I told her what happened and she ask me for proofs. So, I sent her over 50 emails that I exchanged with that crook, where he stated that my loan was locked and GFE (good faith estimate). She said, now you will be dealing direct with me, I would give you an even better deal. So much for that BS!! A week later she offered me an interested rate that was two points% above the marked average rate. I told her to shovel it in that place. Then, I told her that to give me the agreed upon interest rate that was in GFE or my money back, which I had spent to appraise my house. Took me two months and 5 phone calls per day, but I got it. So, I strongly recommend you to not do business with Shore Mortgage especially Joe Sheeran. They are unethical crooks that want take advantage of people.
