        On Monday, June 12th, my family rented the backroom for a lunch in following the funeral of my father. We had around 80 people come. Rich was the worker who took care of us for the lunch in and we couldn't not be more happy with his services. The food was good but Rich made the experience as pleasant for a grieving family as he could. He's a people person that truly has a great heart and I suspect we'll be eating here way more often in the future. I don't know if you'll she this Rich but thank you for everything!!!!

        I eat a lot of pizza. This pizza was pretty darn good. Happy we ate here. Reviews on yelp are accurate.

        Shield’s has been part of Metro Detroit’s history since 1937. Our story began when Shield’s Bar opened at the corner of Davison and Shields Street in Detroit. Shield’s later began serving award-winning pizzas, ribs and salads and featured the ever-popular square, deep-dish pizza.
