Late afternoon shopping and running errands, starving but not wishing to indulge in fast-food, I found myself hungering for a Ruben, but alas where to find a lean, succulent corned beef sandwich on a busy Friday led me to the Country Chef because of location and convenience, and due to a delightful previous visit dining on the Chicken Alfredo.
A very casual diner offering the comfort of tables, booth or counter. Somewhat of a throwback to bygone days reminding me of the old Clock or Nugget atmosphere. A busy staff with a friendly greeting and a smile as you are seated. Upon asking about the Ruben sandwich I so longed for I was told that it was "very good, very lean" and I would be delighted.
My party and I were well surprised when the order was received some 15 minutes later. We five all ordered the Ruben and to our surprise, we could have shared a couple of sandwiches and would've been satisfied. The sandwiches were piled high with such a lean corned beef that I don't recall seeing anything similar when dining out. But the true delight came when I tasted the sandwich. It was delicious! The meat was tender and lite and the quantity was too much to consume in one sitting. It didn't bother me to know I would indulge again tomorrow on this scrumpcious choice. Adding a little 'kraut' only enhanced the experience.
When my hunger returns for this delicacy, I will head straight to the Country Chef once again.

Hello,
DO NOT EAT THERE!!!! The food and management service is terrible. I had lunch there and ordered the Chicken Hani Lunch special. When the sandwich came out the chicken was so old and dry. Nobody should be served food like that. I never received an apology from the waitress or even a manager did not come to the table. When I received the bill they charged me for the fries (Full price) and because I ate the salad that came with the special they also charged me a side salad (FULL price) of $3.15. I ate nothing and I left with $5.00 bill. The waitress knew I was upset and shocked and did not even care. We were a party of 6 people and one other person had the same experience as I did. All 6 of us we will never never never eat there again. Don't waste your money there. To fix this all they had to do was not charge me and apologies. But never any anything!!!!
