If you are looking for an intimate restaurant with quality food, this is an A+. Nice selection with fresh ingredients. We have dined three times. This past Monday for the student volunteer fundraiser and abbreviated menu to support the local school. We dined here twice previously and enjoyed the gambas manchego and empanadas...yum! For Dinner, the garlic gambas are a must, its their signature item. The veal bolognese is wonderful too. The menu is always changing, so you can try something new each time. Now they offer 2 for 1 fine wines..$6 a glass. LOVE IT!

DELICIOUS!

We dined here for the first time in July and every few weeks since then. Everything we have ordered tastes exceptional, and we want to try it all. The portion sizes are perfect. The ambiance is nice and staff friendly. We are so pleased to have found Le Bistro in Torrington.

Superb! The gambas entree is simply wonderful. Chimichurri sauce is exceptional for the Steak. Fresh guacamole and blini tapas appetizers are not to be missed. Thrilled that we don't need to travel to West Hartford or Washington to enjoy a great meal. Food is amazing and priced modestly compared to others of the similar caliber.

Outstanding. Especially for this area. We are accustomed to having some of the best food available to us in New York, and can be challenging in Torrington with the abundance of heat and serve establishments. Le Bistro prepares all of the menu items themselves. Good portions and friendly service. So thrilled to have heard about this little place through our neighbors. Will be back soon, as we had a delightful time.

A Treasure for T-Town! Love this place. Visited last weekend and the food was spectacular. Place buzzing and service friendly. We enjoyed the mussels and the hanger chimichurri. The tapas menu is a neat idea with good selection to choose from, while waiting for entrees. Of course, we tried the house sangria which tastes authentic, not juiced down like other places. And the handmade desserts...WOW. Going again this weekend with my guy and next week with the girls.

This new place has the freshest food and a interesting menus. Tucked in the corner on top of East Main St. I have dined there a couple of times, and the food is fresh and cooked to perfection, with presentation. Seafood entrees are refreshing. Be sure to try salmon or shrimp for dinner, and mussels as a starter. Wonderful wines for $6-8, that you won't find elsewhere. Very welcoming and friendly. The service is paced and can be slower as the tables fill up. Amazing nearby place to have in our area.

Dined for Mother's Day Brunch 5/12/13 - Delicious food; my compliments to the chef. Taste and presentation were excellent. However, the waitress/owner has no personality with new customers and no waitress skills. If I judged our experience by her alone, I would never return. Had to repeatedly ask for non alcoholic beverage refills, Were presented with the check while still waiting for dessert to be served (20 minutes); then watched her bring it to the wrong table. If they want to increase business and have past diners return, they need to invest in an experienced waitress with a personality. I noticed another review with similar comments. Tempted not to leave a tip, but that wouldn't be fair to the talented chef. You need to spend a little money if you want satisfied diners. P.S. There were only 4 occupied tables, so it wasn't due to a busy time.

Found out about this great place through some colleagues. Freshest food, presented like you see on TV. They made our experience special with complimentary dessert for our celebration. Busy place, nice people, great food.

Cutest little place! Best food! Takes a longer here, similar to any upscale dining. The owner does all of the cooking himself, which is so impressive. Definitely worth the wait and best food around! This is our new 'Go To' restaurant.

Dined at this great new place Friday night, with my wife, based on recommendations of some friends that frequent here. Some of the best food we have ever eaten, and we are travelers. Menu items are prepared to order and at value. Service is good and paced, comparable to upscale restaurants. The concept is something new for Torrington, which is the fast food meca of NW CT. Finally, a nice place nearby, where we can enjoy a great meal with ambiance. We will be back again this weekend!

We dined there on Saturday, January 12th. The food was certainly delicious, but the service was atrocious! I understand that it takes time to prepare a meal, but I find waiting for 45 minutes for our appetizers (soup for me, salad for my wife) to be excessive. The waitress was more interested in her smart phone then the customer(s), and the waiter was busy hitting on the waitress. We waited 25 minutes to get our desert, and even then, we had to ask the owner where the desert was. We posted a negative review on their facebook page (someone else did too, saying the same thing as we did) yet they removed the negative review(s)! If the service matched the food, we would be going back there. Unfortunately, bad service ruins a good meal.

Planned dinner at your business last night because of a deal we found on restaurant.com, we usually dont go to 'upscale' eateries but thought we would try it out considering the deal we found online. My first impression of the location was pretentious and felt to me like a poor location for such a place. When we stood in the doorway for 3 minutes without being greeted I knew we were in for a treat. We meandered our way over to the bar area we were approached(by the owner I presume) just the way she looked at my girlfriend and myself I could that we were being judged because of our ages and not taken seriously. We told her about the restaurant.com discount and she stated "i contacted the site 6 weeks ago to take down our deal" she then said "i gave people with these coupons a grace period but it ended last week, I will honor yours but I was told it would be taken down by this weekend and www.restaurant.com are not open on the weekend to resolve this issue" then she follows that by saying "if you are enjoying a 'fine wine' with your meal." My girlfriend is underage and it was not my intention to drink a cup of wine that I could go to the liquor store right next to her location and purchase a bottle for the price of her cup. At first, she made it seem that she would honor our money and let us have a seat in one of the empty tables. I feel it was due to our age that we were treated with such disrespect, the best thing about the internet is that I can share my experience all over the internet and people will take my word over yours no matter how many years you have on me. The first thing you should've learned about the FOOD SERVICE industry is that word of mouth can be a positive or it can bury you when its posted on every rating site. Thank you for turning us down, the appeal of your food and ambiance of your restaurant is comparable to any dive in the location and our money will be spent at other more courteous locations.
