Temperance Medical and Dental - Family Medical of Michigan

I've been a patient at family medical center for years and have recently returned seeking the expert care that I have always known and loved. The physicians and staff are very caring,courteous,and focused on your health. They all have become like family to me and I'm very grateful to be back under their care..Also Thank you Dr.Chiu for the many years at family medical center,you are missed!

I am a clerical manager in another (specialty) medical office and the service from the receptionist and medical assistant staff in the Temperance, MI office is some of the worst I've ever seen in my 18 years in the field.



I've had multiple encounters with receptionists who were rude and condescending. I've been hung up on six out of the last 10 times I've called. When someone at the office leaves a message, they do not leave their name/number, so calling back and finding the right person is a nightmare.



In my two most recent visits, the MA's have both given me dirty looks and rude remarks. One in particular told me I was going to get labs. As a new patient, I didn't know what to do or where to go. She just stood there and stared at me. I asked, are you drawing them here in the room? Her reply, "Uh, duh. We're going down the hall. Are you coming or not?" I was literally stunned silent. The lab technician abruptly sat me down and asked "Are you sick, or what?" I replied, "Yes, that's why I'm here." and she actually recoiled and said "Eww. okay." before taking my blood sample. I felt completely degraded.



The only reason I will go again is because I believe Mr. Nick Wilson is a good and caring practitioner. However, if I experience any of this disrespect from staff at my next visit, I will find another family care provider.

i have had dealings with both the temperance and carleton office and it seems to be a miss managed and some what kaotic i had been going to family medical for for just over five years i am a disabled and in chronic pain with little to no relief had to fight to get any pain Medication and have gone up to six months with out do to dr had to have to proff of pian befor perscribing any. they say they believe your pain but actions speek louder than words. this is the last place you want to go. in my case i have no insurance and had to go here. but if i hads a choise i wouldn't take my dog there!!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck!
