        Established in 1971, Tahoma Associates is a nonprofit organization that provides a range of services for individuals with developmental disabilities. It offers work skill training services and organizes paid production activities. The organization provides a variety of individualized training and support programs, including individual employment, community access, person-to-person and workshop services. Tahoma Associates has residential and commercial work crews that offer motel, litter control, and residential and business grounds maintenance services. It operates the Gig Harbor Group Home & Kleiner Boarding Home, Ellie's House Adult Family Home and Portland Avenue Community Center. The organization has a staff of more than 30 people. Tahoma Associates has contracts with Pierce County and the Washington State Division of Developmental Disabilities.
