German Pastry & Coffee Shop

This is the best place in the area to get German pastries. However, the counter and coffee shop service are not always the way they should be. While the person packing the cake used a little piece of wax paper in order not to directly touch the cakes and pastries and they get packaged nicely in a small box - availability can be strange. I had asked for 3 slices of Black Forest Cake right before store closing one time with a whole cake being available in the case and was told that they did not have any. Supposedly someone had already claimed it. Also, when visiting the Coffee shop, we sat there one time 15 minutes while other (apparently regular) customers were waited on only to have to ask at the counter if we could have some coffee. Of course, the not so friendly clerk told us to sit down and wait for the waitress. Overall, I rate it as good merchandise and interesting service.

This shop has not only a great selection of assorted German cakes and pastries, they are hands down the best tasting. This shop has been in the area for over 40 years and only gets better with every year. If you like great food and great service then make a stop in.
