This place serves Lexington Style BBQ. The meat is strictly pork butt's, no shoulders are used contrary to what the menu says. The meat is cooked in an electric cooker with a wood smoke box inside, so it's really not "smoked" in the traditional way(the wood isn't fresh either). The meat is also cooked "Fat-Cap" down with way too much salt poured over the wrong side of the meat before cooking, this deprives the meat of it's essential flavoring it would normally gain when the fat renders "thru" the meat if it were to be cooked fat-cap up !! The "red-sauce"(a.k.a. BBQ) is a poor attempt at impersonation. The chicken 1/4 is strictly white-meat(breast&wing) which tends to be dry verse using leg 1/4's which retain moisture better. The ribs are baby-back and are decent, but nothing to write home about. Spare Ribs are better, meatier, just as lean and have a more robust flavor and are cheaper on the wallet. I'll take more bang for my buck anyday & this ain't the place to get it.
