The service at Pieras was OUTSTANDING, their selection was awesome and every single person that works there makes you feel like family!!! My amazing consultant Flavia helped me find my dream dress, and the owner of the company Piera herself came out to hug me, tell me how beautiful I looked, and congratulate me on finding my dress! Every single bride to be deserves an experience like this, you're wasting your time if you go anywhere else. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART PIERAS BRIDAL!!!

Can honestly say not happy with the gown my daughter in law to be rec'd today. The bottom of the lace had holes in it all in the front and even though Piera's offered to fix it again.... it only made it worse which made the lace in front pucker up. They told us they thought it looked just fine. We kept saying this was not the gown that she fell in love with, with the front of the lace all puckered up. The final answer was we would have to cut off the bottom of the lace in front of the dress!!! We left with the dress to take it somewhere else to have altered. This May 26th her wedding is May 31st. She should have had her gown by now.

When I first went to Piera's all the staff seemed really nice. They were so helpful in trying to come up with a dress that I loved. I finally found two dresses that I liked bits and pieces from, and they told me they could order one dress and order the appliques from another dress and combine them to make a custom dress. They were so willing to work with to get what I wanted! Because of the customer service, we decided to order the flower girl dress and the bridesmaid dresses from there as well (even though they didn't even carry the bridesmaids dresses in the store...just the designer.) Then it all went downhill. As soon as they got our money, it was horrible! Every single thing we ordered came in wrong!! Two weeks after we ordered the flower girl dress, they called and said we couldn't order it any more and had to come pick out a new one. Then, when my wedding dress came in, it came in a size smaller than we ordered so it didn't fit....then they blamed me for gaining weight (which I didn't). They said the best they could do was order a dress 3 sizes too big and take it it, but it would only get there a month before my wedding. So that's what we did. In the meantime, the bridesmaid dresses came in...wrong! We order them all in short length, and then ordered extra fabric to use for the flower girl. They all came in long, and then they accused us of telling them we wanted long and have them cut it....why would we have ordered extra fabric then??? Finally, my way-to-big wedding dress came in, and I had my first fitting. Two weeks later I came back to have them put the appliques on that we ordered at the beginning. (This was May 1 and my wedding was May 24. ) They pulled out the appliques, and there was only 6 small ones. These were supposed to cover most of the front and back of the dress. They only ordered 6! We asked where the rest were and they said this was it. Then they blamed us saying we should have known they didn't order more based on the price we paid. They also said I told them I wanted a corset back, even though it said right on my form "NO CORSET". Then they blamed me again for the bridesmaid dresses coming in long. They told us they MIGHT be able to get more of the appliques in time but they had to contact China (only by email because apparently there are no phones in China according to them). We waited another week and they still had no answers. My wedding is in two weeks by this time. We ended up picking up the dress from the store and finding another seamstress (spending $700 more) to get my dress how I wanted. The customer service in that store was horrible, they take your money and then don't care, and then they will never NEVER take the blame for any of their mistakes. And they had way too many mistakes . Don't go here! Spend your money where people actually care about helping you!

Horrible experience

My sister made an appointment at this salon, first of all they overbooked. There was two other girls trying dresses on at the same time in a tiny space. On top of the frustration in that the biggest size wedding dress they carried was a size 12! Now they say wedding dresses run a few sizes smaller and my sister is not a plus size at all! She was able to try on one dress and that was it! The sales person persisted on saying "you can have one of your friends try the dress on for you." Who says that? That is unbelievably rude, which brought my sister to tears!! They did nothing to make us have a comfortable experience and I would not ever recommend this salon at all!

Wow, awesome experience. . . ...

Wow, awesome experience. . . . From the first minute I walked into Piera’s bridal salon I was impressed. Warmly greeted by a well knowledgeable salesperson I felt at ease from the first moments. I had been to other salons in the area and was not impressed at all. After a few not so great experiences I felt a little discouraged. My salesperson told me not to worry and that I saved the best for last! She asked me a few questions and then she started pulling the most beautiful gowns. Upon trying on the first few gowns my salesperson was helping me create my dream wedding day. After the third gown I felt butterflies in my stomach, I loved what I looked like and didn’t want to take it off. My salesperson told me that was a good indication of being “the one” but she suggested trying on the remainder and we could come back to that gown to confirm it, she said you’ll even love it more or want to look for others. So we did and she was right after trying on 6 total, It was “the one” and I didn’t want to take it off! My experience didn’t stop there, my salesperson found the most perfect veil and headpiece to finish off my dream. I was soooo excited to walk down the aisle and marry my fiancé since that would be the finale to my dream. Now I couldn’t wait for my wedding to come, it was going to be a long 14 months until I would get to wear this beautiful bridal gown. I didn’t think I would find my dream dress so easily and I am so glad I shopped when I did since it takes awhile for the gowns to come in. My salesperson told me she would call as soon as “my own” dress arrived and I could come to try it on. I am very grateful to my salesperson Flavia for taking me under her wing and helping me create my dream wedding. Her warm personality, knowledge and expertise made it such a wonderful experience and I will never forget it! I will definitely refer all of my friends and family to this bridal salon from now on.

Treated like second class.

I had been searching high and low for a certain Jovani dress for my wedding in June. The designer's website indicated that Piera's Bridal carried the dress. What luck! The shop was right around the corner! I e-mailed Piera's to set up an appointment:

"I'm getting married in June and would LOVE to try on the Jovani cocktail dress 158816. Are there any appointment openings between 10 am and 1pm on Saturday the 11th of this month?"

I received two replies the next morning!

Good Morning Rachel,

We do have appointments for this Saturday. You can come in anytime that day, we are open from 10 until 5 p.m. We would love to show you our Jovani dresses and many others we carry in our salon.

Thank you,

Jill

Piera's Bridal Couture

and

Rachel,

Thank you for contacting us concerning an appointment for this Saturday Dec.

11th.

You do not need an appointment to come and look for a cocktail dress.

Please feel free to stop by anytime Saturday, we're open from 10:00 - 5:00.

Thank you,

Piera's Bridal Couture

Kim

I was so excited! We (my future mother- and sister-in-law and I) walked in the shop at 11 o'clock that Saturday and stood awkwardly in the entrance for about 2 minutes until we were greeted. I told the woman who I was and she instantly recalled our e-mail correspondence. She then added that she had included in her e-mail that Piera's did not carry that specific dress. I told her I received no such e-mail and she continued to argue with me that she had said they didn't have the dress. Then she said she would show me other Jovani dresses. At this point I am just trying not to cry. As we're walking to the rear of the shop, she turned to me and asked "So what's the special occasion?" Um... I'M GETTING MARRIED. She then asked me to describe the dress that I wanted: sweet heart neckline with a single strap of embroidered lilies, thick band around the waist, full tulle skirt above the knee. Adorable. White. Her response was to pull a risque pink and purple, one shoulder, super tight, super short and super sequined homecoming dress. "Some of these come in different colors as well" she smiled. I was speechless. She then said she was would go in the back to look for more dresses.

I was in tears. I felt brushed off, embarrassed, lied to and insulted. No matter what product they are selling, a sales person should never treat a potential customers like second class citizens. We left before she came back from the stock room. NEVER go to Piera's Bridal.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE-HIGHLY RECOMMEND-YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!

So I recently went here to try on a dress in the Pronovias line that they have. Let me tell you it was the most pleasant surprise! I am not a review-writer-ever!! But I have to because after goint to like five other well-known places, and realizing most shops are rude and unhelpful...this was such a breathe of fresh air.

I did not have an appointment, but the woman who greeted me (who turned out to be Piera the owner herself) warmly took me right in to try on the dress I wanted and a bunch of others. She wanted me to try on as many as I wanted!...and by the way I found the dresses to be reasonably priced and all gorgeous-they have great taste. She was sooo nice and caring, very talkative and helpful (unheard of right?)

She helped me with each dress (even let my mom take pictues!!-That is unheard of!! ) even though she was already helping an appointment. She took good care of us both.

So I ended up buying a dress from her!! I didn't plan on it, thought I would just try some out, but because I loved one and she made me a generous offer I couldn't refuse (without me even asking! So yes, she WILL work with you) I just knew if I was going to get this dress, it had to be here!! GO THERE, you will feel the same-I promise!

P.S. THIS IS NO LONGER LAURA'S BRIDAL...the other reviews are for the former owner/business Laura's (which I assume had bad service). Piera's is under new ownership...this woman is great, you will love her :)

Laura's under New ownership

Just wanted to let people know that I visited this shop on 12/26/09. They are under new ownership and are completely different than they used to be. The consultant and owner were very sweet and accomodated me without an appt. I never felt rushed at all. They even stayed after to help me with bridesmaid dress questions. Please take this to heart and visit this shop.

Only for brides with a big budget

When I first walked in, I could tell the store had a VERY LIMITED selection. I told the consultant my budget, and she told me she had NOTHING for me and proceeded to give me ONE dress to try on. I told her this was my first time trying on dresses, so I'm open to everything and just want to get ideas of what works and what doesn't. She said to me "there is no point in trying on dresses that you can't afford". While that is true, who knows if I could have been talked in to a more expensive dress had I fallen in love with it! My mom and I were very uncomfortable the entire time we were in the salon, the consultant was not helpful and kept disappearing. I would only recommend this store if you have an unlimited budget and do not value customer service.

RELIEF

Finding my wedding gown was something I’ve been waiting for years to get. So many went through my head, how I NEEDED it to look, accessories, veils and all. After searching and visiting every bridal boutique I possibly had access to I decided on Laura's Bridal Collection. (Referred by my sister whom just purchased a gown from there, she was referred from a co-worker) There they welcomed with open arms very meaningful. They understood completely what I NEEDED apart from my lack of "bridal vocabulary". Patiently waiting on me and tuned in real well, I found my gorgeous gown! Renee was my sales person, or Id say the right hand I’ve been looking for! She and every other sales lady was extremely polite and spoke to me not just as a customer but also as a Bride that was very anxious/scared about not finding every pinpoint. The gowns there are so beautiful I would recommend anyone to go there! The atmosphere is so soothing and elegant. From experience they work around all your "dead ends" and personal issues. After purchasing and getting my alterations done (the seamstress was WOUNDERFUL) I even got to tune up little details on my gown, just to make it a dream come true. I was able to add a flower (the exact one I’ve envisioned) had my cathedral veil have a hook, if that’s the correct word for after my ceremony so I could dance and show off all the beautiful details on every angle of my attire. I just want to thank all the ladies that have helped make my dream day really a dream! No one rushed; no one chose the "easy" way of doing things like most places I’ve heard about. They simply had patients and had no hesitation to speak up when an idea that could help me came across. Again Thank You all So Very Much! I will be referring everyone possible to your store. If you are looking for complements, you better not get sick of them purchasing your gown hear! Buying my gown at Laura's was the best decision I made apart from my wonderful husband. Thank You LAURA'S!

Overall
awful service-questionable practices

I found a dress here but wanted to see what else was out there before I bought it. At the end of the day, I decided that the dress was the one & I wanted to try it on again before I bought it. I went back 15 minutes before they closed & the doors were locked. They let me in but when I said I wanted to try it on 1 more time, the lady told me that she couldnt let me do that unless I was going to buy the dress because everyone had someplace to be right after work (that should have been THE BIGGEST clue not to buy from here). I did get it. They require 75% down & did NOT inform me of a discount if I pay it in full. (Read below to see why I’m mad)

I went back a few weeks later for bridesmaid dresses & to show my sister my dress. When I got there, there was another girl who had an appt & she had the dress I ordered in the room with her. I waited for her to try it on. After she was done I asked to try the dress on for my sister to see. The saleslady said “No. She had an appointment. You have to wait until she leaves the store.”

They care more about making the next sale than taking care of paying customers! THEY WOULDN’T LET ME TRY THE DRESS ON THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR SO THEY COULD TRY & MAKE ANOTHER SALE!

-When the other girl was getting ready to leave, the saleslady told her that if she pays for the dress up front, she gets a 10% discount!

For bridesmaid dresses: they removed the labels off the dresses! Its so you cant do find better prices elsewhere! I paid $145 for a dress I wore in a wedding this summer and Laura’s Bridal is charging $186 for the same dress.

This place is rude, not honest upfront, overcharges & has some ethically questionable business practices. I deeply regret buying my dress here & I hope I can save other girls the troubles I’ve gone thru so far.
