I love this place. I called the other day to ask if they had a random game in stock. Both the lady and the guy on the phone searched all over and said if they find if they would call me back. Not even 5 minutes late they called back with good news! They had the game! Plus every game I buy from here is always in near perfect condition. Can’t get any better than that.

Mind Games? Yeah, no doubt!
My son purchased a defective game here (unknowingly). When we went back (same day by the way) was told that my son was lying and must have ruined the game. He was so rude and argumentative, I felt like I was in a bad hidden camera social experiment. I will never step foot in that store again. Hopefully he sees these kinds of comments and makes some serious customer service changes, because he's not well versed in social graces or good business acumen. Thumbs way, way down.

Grumpy old man. Doesn't know how to run a store front. Honestly. Get with the times. Go e-commerce if you can't handle costumers. He basically shoved me out of the door for browsing.

That's a negative one star. So Rude, and twice the price of other local resellers. He doesn't deserve the business.

I wish I could give them 0 stars.

Horrible customer service, way overpriced games, you can find better prices at 2nd and Charles, I told the owner I was going to drive 30 miles to buy games from a store and bring them to his store for store credit to use for games and when I returned he would not take them because they had stickers and writting on them even though he said they clean the games. His wife said they do not test the games but when I returned they told me they would have to test them. I made myself clear on what I planned on doing maybe the owners old age had a effect on his memory. Terrible place shop anywhere but there save your gas and your money.

I was able to find the game i wanted (mario kart) and got a good deal on 2 360 games i traded in. All in all i was happy. They def have a lot of stuff from new to old school which is pretty sweet. The guy told me they doublecheck and clean everything too, my mario kart worked fine no probs.

Overpriced and rude, thats all I need to say. I was welcomed to the store with two elders fighting about what they wanted. Following that, I was finally greeted with "may I help you with anything" in a disrespectful tone. Almost everything in that store was over priced. They have a few dozen NES systems for $74.99. They also have horrible customer service...

Diamond in the Rough

I recently found this store and had no idea it was even there. Most times when I see a strip mall store that isn't GameStop with the word "Games" in the title, it ends up being a shop for D&D enthusiasts, in which I have no interest. As I was walking into the Jimmy John's in the parking lot though, I noticed they had a "PlayStation 2" sign in the window and decided to walk in and check it out.

The variety on classic gaming is pretty impressive. I saw several games for Sega, a good deal of them still in their original cases (Some missing inner booklets, but I'm lucky if I can find a box most of the time for stuff like that on eBay). Under locked cases, I saw entire classic systems for pretty impressive prices. Refurbished original Nintendo systems, a Sega Genesis with the 32x expansion, a top loading NES, different GameBoys. It was a nice little piece of nostalgia that I had missed since GameStop shifted their ways from the Funcoland and started only carrying the big three systems and bargain binning anything else.

Some of it was pretty pricey, but understandably so. I saw a Nintendo cartridge of the Die Hard video game running for about $40 without a case. However, I've never seen a physical copy of that game before so I was just impressed that it was there. Looking at games for newer systems, their prices were pretty low too. I had just gone to Game Stop where I had seen BioShock for about fifteen dollars and Mind Games had it for a little bit more than ten. They had a few new games, like Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for $52 dollars or so used which is still cheaper than GameStop. As I started talking to the guy who I'm guessing owned the place, he said they also do disc repairs and guarantee to get any CD working. They buy discs even if they're in horrible condition and give huge discounts to people who bring in ten items or more.

I have no idea what this other lady is complaining about in her review. All I know is that working at a retail store myself, there's probably more to it. Maybe she bought a new copy and her kids opened it (Which nobody will take back anywhere, not even GameStop), or maybe she waited until past their return policy. All I know is that usually when people start mentioning the money they'd be spending every year in that place and "you just lost a customer", they're doing it to save face so I can't trust it. I'd say check the place out for yourself before you let their review change your decision. I'll be coming back soon and I'll probably talk up on their return policy just to see what it is upfront to know what I'm dealing with, as a responsible consumer SHOULD do.

Bad Service

I bought the wrong Call of Duty game for my son. It was never touched or played by us. They would not take it back. I had to sell it back to them and lose $15.

I have four kids each with a DS, we have a Wii and an XBox. I hope the $15 was worth the $3,000 in business a year you just lost.

Stay away. Just go to Game Stop like I should have.
