Vatsana Thai Restaurant

Whenever my sister visits we head to Vatsana for some Thai food and as always she will order the chicken pad thai. When her order came it looked delish but it was dry and smelled funny. We called the waitress over and asked if there was something else we could order because my sister is pregnant and didn’t want to eat the chicken that may get her sick. She said ok and took it back to the Chef who is also the owner. He came back with the dish and asked or rather snapped “what’s wrong”, still holding the plate in his hand. My sister got as far as the chicken is a little dry and he said that’s how it is and shoved the plate on the table in front of her. As he walked away my sister tells him I can’t eat something that may make me sick and I am not paying for this. He said “I’ll call the cops!” We flagged the waitress who just smiled but would not come to our table. She then had to come over to the table behind us. So my sister says “excuse me”, the waitress immediately says to us “you’ll have to talk to my boss”. My sister tells her we just want our bill and she says ‘you’ll have to talk to my boss”. We couldn’t get the bill and we couldn’t leave. My sister is soft spoken, well-mannered and all about etiquette, she tips well and just couldn’t believe this guy. The Seattle Police Officers came to the restaurant and looked around, my sister waived to them and they asked what was going on. She explained the situation. He goes to the owner to get his side of the story and the owner starts yelling his side and the officer tells him ‘sir, I’m not hear to argue, you will have to lower your voice and just talk to me”, the owner starts again in the same manner and the officer repeat’s himself in the same manner. Then the owner says ‘it’s her!” the officer goes ok and comes back to our table. The officer said if the dish is what I order and they’re policy is no refunds it is a civil matter. She said she understood. She paid the bill and we left the restaurant with the officers.



I'd much rather not give them any stars if there was an option.
