Located in San Luis Obispo, Calif., Robert E. Kennedy Library, a unit of California Polytechnic State University, provides instructional services and information resources for student and faculty teaching, learning and research. The library supports the teaching and research work of academic departments and colleges by evaluating and building collections, providing independent and mediated access to information resources, and demonstrating and teaching knowledge management to students and teaching faculty. It also develops its collections and plans information access strategies according to policies based on a continuing analysis of the university's academic programs, research requirements and user needs. Robert E. Kennedy Library focuses on promoting better resource sharing and collaborative learning through a wide range of resources, including books, journals, databases, course reserves and online study resources. The library also offers a variety of software, hardware and technical support services for students.
