It's hard to find quality child care in San Antonio. DA friend recommended Montessori and I was so impressed the minute I walked in. Felt like I was visiting old friends. It's run by a mother and daughter team both trained by AMI. I have a 4 1/2 and a 2 1/2 year old there currently and I would highly recommend you to this school!

Montessori method which I personally feel is great.

I have found the director/teacher to be highly effective. My oldest child attended for 4 years. The amount of knowledge she gained was amazing and covered all subjects from reading, math to science. I also appreciated that they often covered recent events that were top of mind for the children like what is hail. The teachers here instill a love of learning,

My 4 year old niece has been going to this school for about two years now and she has been doing great! She loves the staff and she feels safe with them. When she started going here she was very shy with new people and I was worried that she would have a hard time adjusting. Her teacher (Ms. Josefina) and the Director (Ms, Ynoli) are very nurturing and take their time with the children to make sure they are offering a very inclusive environment. My niece has really blossomed here! She is learning a lot about numbers (she counted to almost 100 the other day), shapes, sounds, nature, space. You name it, they teach it! The classes are not too big so your child will be able to get one on one attention during the day. I highly recommend Montessori Children House to anyone.

Excellent and I highly recommend. I love the small size of it and that it is owed by a family. The staff is great and Ive always trusted them and they have not disappointed.

The teachers really do care about your children! They encourage them to do things on their own and to clean up after themselves. Its been a perfect fit for my toddler who is very independent and for my infant for loves his sweet care takers.

My Grandson Goes Here And We Are Totally Happy With This Beautiful Play My Grandson And All The Children Did Great!!! Since He Started Going To This School He Seems Very Much More Involved And Is Learning To Count, His ABCs And Really Looks Forward To Going To School.

This is a special school. The teachers are patient and caring guides who nuture the kids curiosity and love of learning. The environment of the school feels like home away from home. My son has flourished there and we have loved the experience.

I usually dont write reviews, but know how important it is for parents to find the right school for our kids. My son is attending this school only for a couple of weeks now and visited a conventional school before that was close by our house. Now I have to drive about 20 min longer in the morning to drop him off - but I do it with no regret! His phantasie and creativity is back on to how it used to be, he learns at his own pace and everybody in school is so nice and friendly. I love the enviroment and the little differences from his other school. That they eat on real dinnerware and drink out of glas. He learns a lot and still has fun and can social with his friends. I love the natural study materials and his classroom set up. I can only recommend the school and am glad that I did what I was first afraid of - took him out of his old school, that he knew well and attended for a while.

We have had the wonderful pleasure of being a Montessori Childrens House Family for over 4 years. The amount of care and genuine love every member of the staff shows immediately. The empathy that every student possesses from the all around education of teachers and parents is unfounded.Im a former high school teacher and really did my research into where I would send my daughter when she was a year old and fell in love with the school as soon as I walked in. Now she is at a private school for kindergarten, where she tested to be in 1st grade, and we were just told she will be in the accelerated reader and enrichment (GT) program. I firmly believe in all of the work that is performed in those walls.

This is a very special school. Our older son attended from age 2-6 and there couldnt have been a better fit for him. The experienced guides encourage curiosity and following the childs lead, which teaches them to be independent learners and leaders. This school has become a trusted home away from home for us. I always feel like our kids are in good hands, being cared for and paid attention to. They truly follow the Montessori method and my son loved learning from older kids and then transitioning to being a leader and peer teacher himself. They really teach a love of nature, learning about the world outside of our corner, and in my experience, excel at teaching math concepts. My kids love choosing their own hands-on work and I love how they learn to put it away before getting out anything else. My older son left the school ahead of his peers in many academic areas (science, geography, math) - and with respectful manners and a happy group of friends. I would highly recommend this school, I have another child currently enrolled, who is having a wonderful experience there as well.

My son had opportunities to make friends, learn basic reading skills, writing, math, and science as well as clean-up skills. Remember it is Montessori so it is a student-led experience. I tried to make sure I kept my expectations out of it and I was pleasantly surprised to see my son coming home with completed math worksheets and handwriting exercises! And he also has a love for nature that I know is instilled at the school.

I am a fairly new parent but wanted to write this review as a thank you to this awesome school. The difference from her previous school is night and day. All the teachers have been at the school for many years and it feels like a family. We are very happy and grateful we made this decision.
