Born 2 Move Movers

I scheduled this company to move my pool table. He told me they “will be out here between 6 and 7, maybe sooner”. L
I was packing and moving all things all day. He calls me at 7:16. I missed the call because It’s passed 7 and I needed to still move things. Then he texts me “sir im gonna dismissed the guys. we been trying to call” at 7:23. I called him at 7:31 and he didn’t answer any of my call backs nor my texts. He just ignored his customer. Horrible service and disrespectful. Stay away.

I was shocked by some of the reviews left regarding this movie company. My experience was completely professional and I was a satisfied customer. The movers showed up and they were very respectful and courteous. I recommend this company to friends and family.

If anyone can run the plates, please share the owner info. I will be taking them to the civil court.


The issue I have now is that I was being over charged by at least $200 and my refrigerator is broken and ruined. The door is broken off of the fridge and it has a lot of scratches and dents on it. My home insurance or appliance warranty does not cover any of this and I am unable to get hold of anyone from these guys. Here is the information that I collected so far;

If I could give this unprofessional business a NEGATIVE 10 i most certainly would . First I scheduled an app. for a 1 Bdrm apt for 9AM on July 20. at 12 noon no one had called or shown up I called the number listed above & the man told me I was scheduled for 2pm. at 2 pm no one showed up at 4pm a guy named Daniel ( Hispanic , skinny guy with 3hoops in left ) told me they were running behind it would be an hour . In an hour they went to the delivery address instead of my pick up address . Upon their arrival at 620 pm I asked would I be given an discount and would I exceed two hours . He stated yes you will get a discount and if we exceed two hours it's $75 . After me paying and them unloading everything I went to plug up my tv and saw it had 2 cracks in it and rushed outside and the two movers had left . I called the office left messages no one has responded. I even called the number that the mover Daniel called on & he pretended to be a total diff company! DONT USE THIS COMPANY!

They suck not even close to being professionals real talk I seen them in action & not one of them had a clue what to do my advice don't use these guys at all

Horrible...Horrible Company! Born to move are very unprofessional and do not care about your furniture. The guy are stinking and look like thugs. They will break and steal your furniture. Levi FiI saw one of the movers Levi Fiser hide my lamp under some blue covers to steal it. I was alone so I could not confront him because I was afraid of them. They ripped my sofas stolen lamp and scratched all my furniture. I have filed a law suit and am hoping to get my things replaced by my lawyer soon.

No show.. depended on them to move hot tub. Glad they didn't show after reading the reviews. Had 2 fences down and deadline to get hot tub rem I ved from sold house.

O.M.G. They did me the same way. They moved me June 5, 2015 and they broke my dresser. They pushed it from the front of the truck to the tail end of the truck miss the ramp and my dresser fell off the truck. I've emailed before and after pictures to born2movemovers@gmail.com. No response. I've contacted Chris multiple times and receive the run around and trust me I'm still getting the run around. I've contacted Chris again today 7/21/2015 and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. Then when he returned to the phone his words where, "hello." I answered by saying, "I'm here." He then said,"hello are you there?" I said, "I'm here." Then I hear the dial tone. I called back just to hear voice mail. I called back 30 minutes after that to get put into voice mail. Yes, I left a message. Still nothing. I will be going to thier office located at 11933 perrin beitel # 701 today. I'll keep y'all posted.

This company is very shady. I hired them for a move yesterday and was quoted a price of $140 for two guys and a truck over a week ago when I scheduled an appointment for between 12:00pm and 2:00pm. The man I scheduled the appointment with didn't give me a name and said that they would accept cash, check, or credit card. They didn't show at 1:00 so I called and was told that the driver was going to call me shortly. I waited until 2:45 still no word so I called again and was assured the driver would call me back immediately. I waited until 3:45 and I called with no answer 4 times in a row. Finally I got a call from a driver saying he was around 40 minutes out. At 4:50 I got a call from a different driver telling me he was almost there and he had to grab a contract from another truck and that was why he was late. When he got there the contract was filled out by hand and was at a price of $160 before taxes. I explained to him the pricing I was given so he called his boss who said he could reduce it to $150 including taxes. Now I understand paying more because it was a three man group and not a two man group. When I went to fill out the check all the workers stopped and told me that they cannot accept checks. CASH ONLY. So I asked for their bosses phone number and explained that I knew it wasn't their fault that it wasn't explained to me before. Their boss was rude and said simply they haven't accepted checks in 4 years now and they will not accept card payments...I had to have a relative bring me the cash so that they would continue work. I caught one of the guys wandering around my old apartment looking in the closets and inside some of the boxes. When I saw that I offered him a water because he looked dazed or dehydrated also. He accepted the water. They waited until all of my things were on the truck and we were in front of the new apartment to take my payment because they weren't going to unload the truck without it. Needless to say this company is crooked and although they are the least expensive in town right now I will not be hiring them again. I suggest calling other moving companies with their acts together.

AVOID!!!!! AVOID!!!!! AVOID!!!!! They broke a family heirloom today and will not pay for it. They also broke my Hot Tub! Asked for their insurance and they ignored me. They dropped it from the truck. Instead, Chris the owner blamed and fired his three employees today (from my phone) to remove himself from accountability. No experience at all. Horrible horrible company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!

I scheduled my move with Chris whom was very professional! The move went smoothly and the guys were courteous and professional! Great Price for all the hard work! I will use them in the future. They also moved my sister and she was also impressed and happy with her move. Great Service and the best price I found in San Antonio!

These guys are rude and unprofessional and I can see from other reviews about this company they've treated other people the same way we were treated. When my sister and I first called Born to Move, Chris answered the phone and couldn't be nicer, so we decided to use them to move my elderly parents. The day they were to show up they were very late and didn't bother to call and tell us they were running late or if they were even still coming. We had to call them to find out what was going on. They finally showed up two hours late. My father was at the house while they were carting furniture out and was pretty disappointed as he noted they weren't as professional, or seemed to know what they were doing, as he thought they would be. Also, both movers didn't put anything down on the floor to protect the carpet and they got muddy footprints everywhere. My father, at 81 years old, was the one down on his hands and knees trying to clean up after them. They also broke his TV cabinet door and put a huge gash in the top of it. My elderly mother tipped them (a lot) and then my father, not knowing my mother had already tipped them, offered them money also and they took it without doing the right thing by telling my father that my mom had already tipped them. This was a big deal to my sister and I as my parents live solely on social security.I thought this was very rude and I didn't like it that they took advantage of my parents in this way so I called one of the movers (Daniel) to discuss the muddy carpet, broken TV cabinet, and them accepting two tips and Daniel hung up on me. I wasn't yelling or being rude, I just wanted to talk to him without involving his boss Chris. He simply didn't like what I was saying so he acted like a child and hung up on me. I then called the company (Chris) and he won't answer or return my calls. In short, they're nice as can be when you first call them, but after the move forget it. You won't hear from them again or get anything fixed if they break it. Don't call this company.

This company is straight garbage. The first experience i had was great and that might just be cause i got lucky with the individual that i got. The next 2 experience were hell. I set up a move and scheduled 3 movers and they came 2 hours late with 2 inexperienced workers that took forever. The boss would not answer the phone to hear my complaint but picked up immidiatly when his worked called to get the price. I recommend them to my mother-in-law and she quoted "this is the worst day of my life" she scheduled the move for 11am-1pm and movers showed up at 6:30pm. She had help over to assist with the moving that waited all day for the truck to arrive. When moving the furniture they broke the kitchen table and scratched the refrigerator. They doubled the charges that they quoted her from $160 to $290 and would not unload until fee was paid. (Robbers)

I too used born to move this past weekend. I submitted a request on thumbtack for quotes and they were the most reasonable price quoting me at $125 for two hours and two men. I called Chris and discussed the price and he clearly stated what he had quoted me was correct, i asked him if not 5 times if there were any extra charges i should be aware of so i coule be prepared, the 5 times he assured me that nothing extra, every half hour extra would be $35 but nothing else. Well sunday comes and i get a call prior to them arriving trying to push a three man crew on me adding it to $160 and $35 half hour to which is said thats not what i wanted. Half hour later two guys show up amd start describing the billing: extra cost for nything past 40ft of distance from the apt to the moving truck, $25 for each tv because their insurance didn't cover liability for them. I was upset and told the worker Chris specifically said bo extra charges, he was polite about it and waived the distance fee and i had to say no to moving my tvs so id not get over charged. 2 and hrs later they finally finish loading and we head to my new place, upon arriving my grand total was $271.88. They charged me an estimated extra 1 and half for unloading AND for being on a second floor which was again another charge i was NEVer informed of i had no option but to pay. The movers were vreat and very polite but Chris tricks of using then to overcharge and come up with random extra charges is very unprofessional. I know its a though job and i appreciated thier service but id be happier if i had been told straight up what to expect. I even texted him to clarify why i was being charged that if my math gave me $250 with tax and his $271.88 to which he never replied. He replied hours before the move in regards to how to want me to pay in cash bit after that he just ignored me since he had his $. So just be cautious that they will swear and promise no extra charges but will suprise you with plenty once they are there.

PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING!!!!!!!!!,!!,, All ABOUT MOVERS OR BORN TO MOVE SAME DIFFERENCE!!!!I recently moved and requested a quote from Andrew he was very professional and and quoted me 160.00 for two hours and 60.00 an hour. Andrew even followed up the day before to confirm the move so i thought great very professional. When he called to confirm i asked him about some sofas that i wanted to donate but no one wanted to pick them up at an apartment he said not to worry that they would take them to a thrift store to donate at no charge! i said wow what a great company! NOT !!!!!!!!!!!! Next day they showed up two hours late and instead of 60.00 like there advertising states! it was 35.00 per half hour! they also said that they were going to charge 25.00 per T.V. for extra insurance which felt like a scam to me! So then i asked to talk to management it took them 3 hours after about 6 calls to the office to talk to the owner who said he was not going to charge me for the T.v.'s and charge me the 60.00 an hour. When we arrived at the storage unit the worker calls the owner and the owner tells him to charge me 645.00 after i complain because they are over estimating the time and charging me for the T.v.'s they say you have to pay before we unload the furniture. To be fair they had told me that i had to pay before unloading but i didn't think they were going to GOUGE me like that. I reluctantly pay them and then i start to see my furniture damaged by this time it's 8 oclock and dark remember they arrived TWO Hours late! they finished at around 9:15 but they charge me till 10:15 and did not want to refund me an hour! I would recommend not to be fooled by other comments if you notice i am taking my time to write this detailed review because i don't want anyone else to fall for there deceptive advertising and quotes. i wish i could give them ZERO STARS but i can't!!! SO BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

this is the movers from hell. Reasons below:

1. Dishonest business practices. They quote one price but change it when they arrive.

2.They overcharge

3. They work very slow I asked for a 3 man team and only 2 men arrived so they couldnt move all my furniture in the 2 hours.

4. The Most Important Reason. THEY ARE THIEFS. They stole my expensive Samsung tablet. How do I know this, my son was the only person in my home besides the the THUGS moving my furniture.

I hope people read this review because I have never had problems like this. Please BEWARE.

I had a great experience with this company and will always use these san antonio movers

This was the worst moving company I have ever hired and will never hire them again. All I wanted was a simple small hot tub moved and they took 2 days to do that. They even left the cover behind and told me it was my fault abd that I should just be glad that I got the tub delivered. First it was that they would be there between 1 and 3pm, then it was they were running late and would be there at 6pm, then it was at 10am tomorrow. Finallly they arrived at 1:30pm. Over the phone they do not even tell you that there is tax untill they get to your house. I definately would not recommend hiring this company for any move. There prices may be reasonable but their service is really bad.

FANTASTIC AND FUN MOVING EXPERIENCE

This was by far the best moving experience I have ever had and coming from a military family I have moved quite a few times. I was very skeptical using any moving company because I have so many nice things and was afraid of trusting others with my belongings. And as you know if you are familiar with the military movers they are always breaking things. So, I decided to do a GOOGLE search for the "BEST MOVERS IN SAN ANTONIO" and Born 2 move Movers came up with actual testimonials videos. I must say I was actually shocked to see all the families they had moved in San Antonio. Convinced by the video testimonials, I called and scheduled my overwhelming move with Chris. He was very friendly and explained everything to me which made me feel so comfortable. The movers showed up at the scheduled time and were just as nice as Chris, they treated me like they knew me for years. I am so happy I decided to use Born 2 Move Movers! The best part about the move was the reasonable price that couldn't be beat! I called around just to see the other prices out there and every mover was at least $80 higher and they all charged extra fees for travel time and appliances. I was so impressed with this company and I highly recommend them to anybody looking for affordable and professional movers. I promise you will not be disappointed. I read some of the other reviews and it just can't be the same company I used.
