Los Baez has the fantastic Mexican food and the friendliest service a diner can experience. They made the chips and salsa fresh on the premises and I warn you the urge to pig out on them while waiting for your meal is a test of determination! I love the chicken enchilada and the chili reano, but it's all good! I started eating here in the 1970's when they opened their first location. In over 30 years, I've never had a bad meal or anything but top notch service!Do yourself a favor. Check Los Baez out!Chuck Bradley (a picky eater)

These guys have the best food. Eveytime I go in there they are super friendly. I am from out-of-town and whenever I go to Salem I always have to stop in for food and drinks! They make good drinks!!!

I'm surprised this place is still in business. I have been twice and I felt so unwelcome I almost left before ordering. In Salem, Oregon, where Mexican restaurants are everywhere and all of them are good to very good, this one doesn't stand out. It's just ok.

It doesn't matter what you eat here. It's all the best!!We have been eating here since they were a teeny tiny hole in the wall and even though they have grown :) it's still they same awesome quality and tastes we have grown to love.We moved to the Portland area about 16 years ago but try to get back to South Salem as often as possible to dine here.>> .. <<
