Canaday's Grocery

If you're sick of generic, slick grocery stores, visit this old-fashioned country store at a rural crossroads. They have a little bit of everything: dog food, ice cream, gasoline, plus all the things you sometimes run out of or suddenly need, from groceries to greeting cards. They also have a butcher shop in the back, and their meats are fresh and very reasonable. I like the hoop cheese. I've been stopping here for years on my way to and from small towns (I'm a traveling nurse). It's family-owned, so you get a lot of help and friendly service. They know exactly where everything is. I'd recommend this to anyone, especially those of us who remember when businesses were more personal and unique.
