NTB is absolutely the worst place I have ever taken my car. I brought my car in to see why the check engine light was on. They told me I needed a new alternator, a new battery, and a serpentine belt. I had them replace these things. When I picked my car up, the check engine light was still on. They told me not to worry about it, that it would eventually go off because the battery would just have to reset itself. This was completely wrong. My car started to break down shortly after. I brought it back in. They told me I needed a new computer for about $900. I knew at this point that this place could not be trusted, so I had it towed to a different place to get it looked at. Turns out it needs a new timing belt. There is nothing wrong with the computer. They wanted me to pay for a new computer when this would have not fixed my car either. The place I had it fixed at told me that the timing belt is what was the issue the entire time and that I did not need to have the alternator or anything else replaced to begin with. I cannot believe that this company could stay in business lying like it does to customers.

Ken Williams and Jesse Murphy are scam artists. 3 months after they installed 2 tires, they said the warranty could not be upheld because it was my fault the tires were bald. They insisted that I, and the other mechanics who looked at it, were "liars" and "cheats". They both were extremely rude and seemed under the influence of a substance while we were there. If you buy tires from them, do not expect them to uphold any warranties.

I've been taking my car to NTB on Veterans Memorial Parkway in St. Charles for years for new tires, alignments, repairs, etc.. The staff has always been very friendly, competent, helpful, polite, and reasonably priced. I would recommend this shop to friends, family, and/or anyone needing thier services.

DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO GET SCAMMED! This establishment is known for faulty work. According to over 5 reputable consumer review sights, including the BBB, they have a track record of complaints as a result of poor management and employee accountability. More notably, they seem to be connected with a very high number of "COINCIDENCES" that result in these complaints. This is NO joke - PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! Responsible and aware people who take the time to have their vehicles inspected by trustworthy mechanics, upon entering this shop, seem to OFTEN be informed of other left-field problems or necessary repairs. If you decide, for the intended "convenience" factor, to bring your car here for something simple (such as an oil change or alignment), PLEASE be sure to document as much information about the performance and standing of your vehicle BEFORE you hand them your keys, because there appears to be a VERY STRONG LIKELIHOOD that something else will be "found" wrong with your car by their "certified mechanics." The store manager is quick to jump to aggressive defense of his staff and told us he is "a very strong believer in the power of coincidence." If that isn't a RED FLAG to anyone that there is something hinky or fraudulent going on here, I don't know what is. Our immediate impression of their staff was VERY negative and unfortunately we ignored our better judgement by not leaving to take our vehicle elsewhere ... In our following interactions, the manager was clearly more interested in covering the a**es of his employees than maintaining a positive reputation. PLEASE take the time to do additional research before deciding to RISK YOUR VEHICLE at this store. SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGRAVATION!!! I hope no one else has to deal with the same experiences we had - out a good chunk of change, with no results, damage done to our vehicle, disrespected by people being PAID to provide us with a service, and awaiting the outcome of a legal claim currently in limbo. Don't just go somewhere else, GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Attention women!!! Go somewhere else!!

Unless you have your husband, father, brother, or man friend with you, I would suggest going somewhere else. They LOVE women that come in alone, because they assume you know nothing. I caught them today being ridiculously deceitful.

Convenient but created more headaches. I went in for an alignment because my car was shaking above 60 mph. Well, $740 and 5 hours later at least the car doesn't shake but now something is wrong with my radiator.

They told me I needed to replace a leaking radiator hose. It is an older car and that's not something I had done recently so I let them do it. My car was smoking when I pulled into work today. Who knows how bad it is... They obviously didn't do something right when my car wasn't smoking when I brought it to them. Why does car repair have to be such a scam? Seems like they don't know what they are doing.

Hi, I went to NTB yesterday and told the man at the counter that my battery light was on, without even looking at it he told me it was the alternator....wrong..it died not even a quarter of a mile away and had to be towed. Luckily A-1 towed my car for free and replaced my battery for a good price...thanks alot NTB maybe you should take the time to look at a vehicle before turning it down...oh well loss of business for you...

strange things happen at good old NTB

My car was in need of 4 new tires. We decided to check out NTB. It was close to home and they were able to fit us in the time frame that we had because of our jobs. My husband gets there and waits and waits for them to even get the car into the shop. When they did, they started working on it. A little bit later, they come out and said that my brake lights were not working and asked if he wanted them to repair them. He told them no, because they were working. They said okay and went back in to work on the car some more. Then they came back out and said the turn signals were not working but they could repair them if he wanted to and keep insisting that they repair them. So he called me and asked if I had noticed my turn signals were not working. I said, I just drove the car the other day and they were working fine. I remember because I had my mom in the car and she made mention that I needed to turn it off after I got into another lane. So he told them no, we would take care of it ourselves. Then they stop working on the car. My husband asked them what was up after the car should have been done. They said, oh we were waiting for your answer on what we should do about the brake lights and turn signals. He told them to just finish the car, he had been there long enough. So when they finished the car and pulled it around front for him. He told the man to wait, turned the car on and pressed the brakes, strangly they worked but the turn signals still did not. He drove it home and told me what was going on. I turned my car on and tried my turn signals that have always worked in the 9 years I have had the car. So I turned the hazards on and they turned on, turned them off and my turn signals started working. Not sure if NTB had something to do with it but I think something fishy was going on. I do not recommend them. Sketchy business practices and as my husband says "a bunch of idiots work there."

I walked in without calling first. They had a complete set of tires in stock and I was in and out of there in a little over an hour with my new tires on.

My wife had a blowout on the right front tire and spun out into a field. I got out there and was able to put the spare on. The closest place I could think of was NTB. They are not the shop I normally take my vehicle and I went there out of convenience. There was something wrong with the front end because I had to have the steering wheel turned a quarter of a turn to the left just to keep the car straight. When I walked in the guys inside were less than welcoming. One guy was "helping" the lady in front of me and the other guy was just walking around wiping off display tires. The woman in front of me was not happy with how things were going. She asked a question and the guy responded, "Well I just got here at 10:00 so I don't know what is going on." This should have been my clue to just walk away and take the car to our regular shop. When it was my turn I told them what happened and we went out to look at the car. We went back in and he priced some tires for me. I chose one and handed over my key. Before I left at about 10:30 he told me there was a little bit of a wait. Well three hours later I hadn't heard anything so I called. They had not even looked at the car yet. Sometime late in the evening my wife got a call and they told her the tie rods needed to be replaced and they said the car would be ready at 8:00 and gave her a quote. When she got there at 8:00 the car was not ready. They told her 20 min. 30+ min. later they brought the car around. It had the new tire on but the wheel was still 3/4" back from where it is supposed to be. They told her they did not know what else was wrong and they would just have to replace parts until they figured it out. The car would drive straight but when making a right turn the tire would rub against the fender. Hardly what I would call fixed. On top of that the total was $120.00 more than the quote. We took the car to our regular shop the next day and after they looked at it they said the lower control arm was bent and it was quite obvious that it was the problem. I would not recommend NTB to anyone. If you are in the St. Charles are take your car to Miller Auto Repair for honest and professional service.
