Liquid Artists Bartending

Here s our story: my fiance and I hired Marcelle & Liquid Artists to bartend our wedding. By the end of the night, our guests &family members were cleaning up their barware, which they had left all over the venue before leaving without telling anyone. Here s the short list of how Marcelle performed that night.



1) She and her team showed up an hour and a half late. They arrived as my bride was walking down the aisle, for a wedding of 166 people.



2) When confronted about this, she complained to the sister or the bride that she had been stuck in traffic, and had driven all the way from Maryland and been in the car for 2 hours, never once offering anything resembling an apology.



3) She then changed her story and lied to the sister of the bride, telling her that I spoke with the father of the bride and he said it would be OK to arrive when I did. The father of the bride had one responsibility for the wedding: writing checks. He was never involved at all in any stage of the planning process and never spoke with - never even met Marcelle.



4) We received numerous complaints about her serving drinks to our guests. One complaint - from my best man no less - was that she would not open a beer bottle for him. He had a cut on his hand and he asked her politely if she would open it for him. She opened it halfway and set it down on the bar, stating it is open , while it clearly wasn t.



5) Marcelle and her staff left without cleaning up anything from the bar areas, and without telling anyone from wither the wedding party or the venue. They just flat out disappeared.



6) The glassware - which was rented by Liquid Artists and Marcelle from an outside company - was left uncollected all over the venue. Tables, columns, buffets, on the dance floor, even outside is where my guests and family ended up collecting all of the glassware at the end of the night, returning it to the wire racks which they came in.



7) Upon being unable to reach her by phone to tell her to come pick up the glassware and that we could not leave anything at the venue, she ignored our calls and they went straight to voicemail.



8) My family and guests then had to load up all of the glasses into one of my Aunt s minivans and transport them back to our hotel, where after another voicemail to Marcelle, we left them by the hotel dumpster.



9) More glassware then turned up in another car of a guest who was helping us, which was then returned to the glassware vendor by the parents of the bride yesterday, out of the goodness of their heart, not wanting to see a vendor get burned by Marcelle & Liquid Artists like we did.



10) Marcelle did eventually respond to all of our angry voicemails - with an email. She stated lie after lie, including that we had it in our contract that we would leave the glasses at the venue, and that she started bartending 1/2 hour before contracted to do so. Which might be the most insane part of the experience since she was told to arrive at 3PM - an hour before the ceremony started.



We never received an apology or any kind of refund for the mess that they made physically and professionally. Thank goodness they did not ruin the wedding, as everything else seemed to go off without a hitch.



Marcelle and Liquid Artists have subsequently been banned from both the venue and the vendor which rented her the glassware. I have no idea if all of the glassware ever made it back to them because Marcelle never collected it or counted it at the end of the night. They just left.



0 stars are not an option for this review, but that s what they deserve. I STRONGLY advise you to not hire Liquid Artists. They are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with.
