Colin was great, answered all of my questions and provided a great deal of insight on my issues. Colin also made my various options clear to me and helped to provide me a course of action to achieve my parenting time goals.

I went in for a consultation with Colin Amos last week, and then I went and got a second opinion from a different firm. Bottom line is that Colin knew exactly what he was talking about and had all my questions answered in a precise manner unlike the other attorney who I got nothing but vagueness from him which proved that Goldberg-Jones' reputation for excellency in that field is not overrated by any means, so if you are to hire someone to represent you in a divorce case, might as well hire the best at it. So, I will be hiring them to represent me as there is no room for error.

CLEAR, CONCISE INFORMATION AND ADVISE

Review: I was very nervous about going through a divorce and, given all of the horror stories out there about attorneys, was afraid to even call an attorney. When I got the nerve up to call they actually took the time to answer questions over the phone at no charge. I decided to set up an initial consultation with Colin Amos. After this meeting I realized this firm was truly concerned about helping me through a difficult process. They provided me with a solid strategy to help minimize conflict, get a good result and actually minimize my attorney fee bill. I appreciate the fact that they were to the point in their advice, did not BS me when asked difficult questions and provided me with constructive input on how I could settle and avoid trial. I am now happily divorced (without having to go to trial)! Thank you!

Divorce and custody are a horrible thing to go through. The whole name of the game is who can lie, cheat and steal the most and convince the judge to do so. They are an expensive firm, my attorney was completely unorganized and contradicted himself all the time. They sold me on these fantastic results and lured me in emotionally, as if I stood a chance in court. The only thing they specialize in is racking up a bill, and please, please, be careful with the contract that you sign with these guys. I have 2 other friends who had the same situatuion with the same negative results. They did nothing for me and most likely won't do much for you either. Over promise under deliver.

PLEASE don't be fooled and misled by their advertising and hype. Run from this firm and like Lot, don't look back. Nothing could be further from the truth in their ads. Don't make the same HORRIFIC, drastic, life changing mistake I made by hiring them on thinking that with a nickname like "divorce for men" I couldn't go wrong. WRONG! After 40+ years of life, I can count on one hand the things I wish I could change or do again but differently. This would have to be at the top of such a very short list.



The terrible, worst-that-could-be-expected (even going it alone) results likely will have a lingering lifetime -- if not for at least a VERY long time -- extremely negative effect financially, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. And as I now understand all too well, no price tag possibly can be placed on "emotional and mental" suffering, shock, grief and/or disbelief.



As a devout Christian and for the most part trying my humanly best to live by the adage, "if you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything", I find it necessary to do so here otherwise for the sake of many. That is, I am extremely puzzled WHY a firm would go out of their way, it seemed, to make the results of my already traumatic, slanderous, devastating (I've lost 20 lbs--not on purpose), PTSD-resulting divorce case (also falsely accussed as well for molesting the dearest thing in my life -- my own firstborn -- and having to go through many months of long and expensive testing for one of many hundreds of slanderous lies (from opposition)in court) WITH THE WORST POSSIBLE RESULTS, and at times contradicting their own specific advice to me?



I get remarks from many -- sometimes even from several attorneys -- such as, "WHY would you possibly sign such and such" or .... "WHY would you agree to.....I oughtta slap you right upside the head!! ...." comments. If I didn't already have a massive plethera of grief and stress on my plate, and then it's implied I'm an absolute IDIOT on top. I didn't think the human spirit could sink any lower. But it did.



Or even from a long time child support case worker who has said to me several times, "EVERY time I look at or refer to your case (and the massive and lengthy, outrageous $$$ amount of spousal support I must pay out for such a short marriage), I shake my head in disbelief.





So you ask WHY did I then? Simple.



First, I thought that by going to a firm advertised as "1-800-DIVORCE-for-MEN" (see daily Sports section in the Oregonian, e.g., to see for yourself) that I'd be going to "the absolute BEST". WRONG. And big time.



Second -- when time after time after time told point blank that "this was the best possible results I could ever hope for" (even if I adamantly and continually disagreed) and a trial would produce even worse results (in hindsight, HOW??), and in my mind I'm thinking (aka 'TRUST') this firm would know BEST -- how could I possibly disagree? WRONG. Again.



So my challenge to this firm is: DO YOU HAVE AN OUNCE OF INTEGRITY and DESIRE to "Do the Right Thing" and CORRECT THE RESULTING, TERRIBLE MESS (or at least explain HOW or WHY it appears you were also representing the opposing party and not myself?). Several attorneys had stated or implied trying to modify the firm's big screw-up is highly unlikely or not possible. Can you prove them wrong? WHY CAN'T we or anyone right a terrible wrong? Let's clean up this once great nation of ours!
