Awesome!

This grille was very classy. Dress nice.

It was refreshing to eat something non-traditional, like beet salad for example.

It was different, but in a very good way.

Sonoma has to be the burgh's best kept secret. The food was to die for and the staff was so welcoming, helpful and seemed to actually be excited to be doing their jobs! It was just a wonderful experience, we'll be going back very soon.

Even though this place is a bit expensive and "stuffy," I had a great time. The service is excellent and the food is very good.

My first experience at Sonoma last week was amazing! My friend and I each got omelettes for lunch, and they were delicious..A little pricy, but the atmosphere, food quality, and waitstaff were top quality! I look forward to returning!

Home Sweet Home

When I walked into this restaurant I felt instantly at home. It's like walking into an Italian villa - which is so cool for downtown Pittsburgh. I loved it! The food, the wine, the service... the whole experience. It was phenomenal. I couldn't ask for anything better. LIttle expensive but the food is well worth it.

Pretty good if you have the money to spend..

I would definitely go, if cost isn't an issue or if it's for a special occasion. My boyfriend took me here for our one year and it was a great choice!! Food was presented impressively, service was great.

Great food, worth the price

I checked this place out with my girlfriend before Phantom of the Opera and was pleasantly surprised. The menu is pricey as most downtown places are, but this one is definitely worth the coin. The service was great and my food was delicious.

I took my girlfriend to The Sonoma Grille for dinner before Phantom of the Opera and we both really enjoyed our meals. This is a unique, eclectic place that really makes you feel like your on the West Coast. The service was friendly and very knowledgeable about their extensive wine list. I was also pleased to find out that they have a happy hour between 5-7 on weekdays, so dinner didn't break the bank either.

The Sonoma Grille was suprisingly a great experience. I loved the Sangria it was some of the best I'd ever had. The interior has you feeling as if you are enjoying your meal at a California winery with it's tuscan inspired decorations. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our food was brought to us very quickly. Overall a great experience.

i.e., A local favorite, Sonoma is the ideal place to go if you are looking for a restaurant that will really get your taste buds stimulated. My absolute favorite appetizer is the Kung Pao Sweetbread. It is mild yet extremely flavorful, perfect for those who enjoy adding a little spice to their life? or tongue! The lamb ravioli is positively mouthwatering, the perfect combination of Moroccan spices and tender lamb. The atmosphere is very relaxing with an endless wine list to accommodate whichever your preference. The staff is friendly yet professional, adding to the over-all charm and experience of Sonoma. I recommend Sonoma because everyone deserves to be wined and dined without always needing a special occasion!or highly recommended because

Sonoma is one of very few rest...

Sonoma is one of very few restaurants downtown that isn't Italian or a Steakhouse. It's nice to have new variety in the Pittsburgh restaurant scene especially so near the cultural district. Sonoma is a great place for a midtown lunch or dinner before an event. Service is sometimes slow, but the drink specials more than make up for it.

I agree with Charli, Sonoma Grille is a great place to dine after a show in the cultural district. I ordered the prosciutto wrapper diver scallops. The menu was a little pricey, but my dish was delicious and well worth it. I usually don?t eat seafood, but this dish may have made me a seafood lover! My favorite part of the restaurant was that many of the options on the menu offered food that was locally raised. The feel of the restaurant was like that of a Californian winery. I had a terrific evening at Sonoma Grille. I plan on bringing a few girlfriends down for a happy hour in a few weeks. I encourage everyone to check out this place.

Walking into Sonoma Grille you immediately feel relaxed, because of the warm colors and lighting...Although on the pricey side, the restaurant is perfect for a quick bite to eat before/after a show downtown. The portions are small, but delicious. I would recommend the Ahi Tuna Flatbread. The tuna is fresh, moist, and light. Also, I loved the wild mushroom flatbread, which was surprising because I hate mushrooms. It has a more olive and salty taste that overpowers the taste of straight mushrooms. Lastly, if you like sangria...try the White Sangria, which is slightly different than traditional sangria.

Awesome wine and happy hour

The Happy Hour specials are fantastic, so every time I come here I try something new. I would definitely recommend the White Sangria, which tastes like a classic sangria with a fruitier white-wine taste.

The food is delicious, but make sure you bring your pocket-book! A must-try is the Wild Mushroom Flatbread, which has a delicious mixture of olives and mushrooms, topped with feta cheese. Yummy!

And there is a parking garage just down the street from the restaurant, so it's easy to get down there!
