Mokka

I have been to Mokka several times now. I'd say approx. 7 times. Twice, the service has been good. The waitress I usually have is very nice but just far too laid back. I am not really and aggressive person either, so I usually just wait patiently and hope for the best next time. I''m not sure if there will be a next time at this point after today's experience. It's a shame too, because I really do like the food and the location is very convenient. On average, it always takes at least 20 minute to get the check and then ususally another 10 to get change if needed. If you have young children, they can get antsy so this has been problematic. Today is Mother's day and it was very busy. I made reservations and we still did not get food for 50 minutes and not not one refill, nor did anyone check on us or apologize, When my brother in law mentioned the long wait the waitress was defensive and not at all apologetic. If I do return here, it will not be soon. I am a very easy going person but this ticked me off. I also would warn people of going here especially if you are in a hurry. The french toast is great!

I discovered Mokka and visited frequently at its previous York St. location. I was disappointed when it closed and just as throughly pleased to rediscover it again in its new location! Its menu is eclectic and high-value. As an alternative to typical breakfast fare, it is without peer! Thanks for coming back!!
