Dr. Kevin K Lanphear, DO

HORRIBLE experience! I moved to Newburyport and simply went to the yellow pages to find a family practice. I went in a little under a year ago with sever headaches and soar throat... I was given several medications and was told that if the hydrocodone didn't work after the 2nd dose to go straight to the emergency room.... which is exactly what we did. The next day Dr. Lanphear's nurse (during the entire time Dr. Lanphear never had time to see me) perscribed Butal, Diazepham AND Naproxen.... and didn't say anything about stopping the hydrocodone.... As a result I became very sick and passed out hitting my head on the sink and became unconscious...the worse part about it...I was home alone with my 1.5 year old. Fortunately my neighbor was allerted by the baby crying so hard. I decided to let it go however today (a year later) I went in and finally met with Dr. Lanphear who proceed to lecture me on how I speak to his staff.... Because when I was alert enough after the passing out called the office, obviously VERY upset!!!! I simply walked out today and will be finding a new Family practice ASAP!
