        I wish I had looked up to see ...

        I wish I had looked up to see any reviews on this place, but unfortunately I didn't and now i'm having trouble with my Ford Explorer. I recently purchased a 2002 Ford Explorer from Mike's Auto Sales in New Rochelle and everything seemed fine when I pulled off the lot. It is now almost a month later and already my truck is in the shop. The coil springs have broken, the wheel bearings need to be fixed, I need brake pads for both the front and the back and then I also find out that the back brakes are shot! Plus after I had already given him all of my money and signed all the paper work, he then tells me that, I can't put down my back window on the drivers side and that I need to come back to him to have it fixed. He gave me the part that needs to get fixed. He also told me that when I need to fix my outside mirror on the drivers side, I need to use my hand and not the device that's in the car, because if I do, then I will blow a fuse. If anyone comes across this guy, I suggest you to continue your search for a car, because Mike is not the person to deal with. I had to give him a rating of at least one star, but I truthfully don't think he even deserves 1 star!

        save yourself lots of trouble ...

        save yourself lots of trouble and avoid buying there .. couple of unhappy customers



        we had a horrible experience buying a car from this guy. We should have known better because he had already sold a car in need of major repairs to a friend . We got it even worse: ABS system ,wheel bearings, heads gasket, ABS system again, cooling system - all within 3 weeks after buying the car from him. We met 2 more people in the meantime that had the same problems with cars they bought from this man. Spare yourself bad experiences and don't buy a car from Mike's in New Rochelle

        Don't buy from this one. He sold a car to a friend and the car turned out to be in need of major repairs. We bought a car from him too and it turned out to be a horrible lemon with brake problems, blown head gasket, ABS brake problems again, gas gauges not working, needed new wheel bearings etc etc etc. We learned of other people that bought from him and had major problems with their cars. Don't buy from Mike's Auto Sales in New Rochelle - nothing but trouble !!!!!

        We can recommend Mike's Auto Sales. As newcomers to US we looked for a cheap and reliable car. We found one there. Mike was fair and helpful. We are very satisfied.

        DONT BUY FROM THIS DEALER. You are better off leasing a vehicle at a expensive rate than buying from Mike. We bought a $6000 nissan maxima from this guy. It was a major lemon with the entire frame rusted. The brake broke one day swaying the car from side to side on a busy road. We are lucky to the alive. Truth be told the nearby mechanics have a nexus with Mike and they won't tell you the true problems with this car. Piece of advice - go to a proper dealership and buy a certified vehicle.
