Been going here for a long time. They take care of my special needs kid all the time, she has down syndrome.

We took out Granddaughter for her 6th Birthday, just to get herself done up. We all had a blast!!! Her hair looked Beautiful, and instead of having makeup put on, she had her face painted with a cupcake design. She was treated like a real princess. Going back again FOR SURE!!!

I had my 12- year old daughter & her two friends there for a birthday celebration ... manis & pedis. The stylists managed to do all 3 girls at the same time, and they had a ball! It was such fun. They had fun music playing & it was so nice that they were in a room by themselves. Their nails turned out adorable. The girls picked the colors, and the stylists picked out different designs for each one. The girls were so happy! The prices were very reasonable, especially for the time they spent on the girls. I had shopped around & they are far less than many salons, who's services seems to pale in comparison. We will definitely be back!

One word. AMAZING! My daughter and her friends had the best day. The staff is amazing. They made sure the girls were having fun at all times. The hairstyles are gorgeous. My 8 year old said it was the best birthday ever and it made me cry! I will be doing this again for my youngest daughter in a few years. Thank you so much for this wonderful couple of hours ladies. We absolutely loved it!

I don't get a lot of time to spend with my niece, so I figured what would be more fun than a hair party.I felt like a kid again. We did hair, makeup, nails and got all dressed up. (I had to cut my list a little we did more) those were the high points.We both had so much fun she wants to have her next party there. Thanks for the great memories

Saw the website and it looked like a good place to take my 1 year old sob for his first hair cut. Looked like a cool place from the pictures and the staff sounded like they knew what they were doing. Boy was I wrong! I walked in and was not greeted. I told the woman I was there for an appointment. She said they were running a little late, which wasn't a problem. What was a problem was when another child came in that had an appointment after me and they took him 1st because he was fussy. That was the 1st strike. I started looking around and the place was kind of a dump! The kids chairs were broken and there was hair and dust all over everything. Kind of gross! I could tell right away that the stylist was not very friendly just by seeing her interact with thr other costumers. I should have just left then but against my better judgement, I stayed. When it was my sons turn for his cut she told me to put him in the chair (a car) without even brushing all the hair off. I ended up doing it myself. She asked what I wanted and she started cutting. She seemed very annoyed. Luckily (and surprisingly) my son did very well and didn't fuss at all so the haircut turned out pretty well but the woman just finished cutting and walked away. Did not say one more word to me. Didn't ask if I liked it and left my son covered in hair. I went to the counter to pay. The price on the cut was $25 which I think is crazy seeing as the cur took literally 5 minutes and I got a bag with his hair in it. I gave the receptionist $27 even though thr stylist didn't deserve a tip and I saw the receptionist stick the $2 in her own pocket when the stylist wasn't looking. Overall very poor service. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was because his cut turned out ok. I would never go again or recommend it to anyone.

The staff here are extraordinary! They were only expecting 6 girls from the 20+ girls invited, and low and behold all the girls showed up! The staff handled the extreme girl power of giggles and chaos, as if it was just another day. They kept things organize, even with the overwhelming number of girls, getting each girl exactly what they wanted as their makeover and accessories. They made each girl feel special and did amazing job, getting everyone done in a timely manner and also entertaining those who waited for nails, hair, or makeup. I have no idea how they did it but it was a whirlwind of organization, especially when we were not expecting so many, but they made it possible! A customer with a little boy walked in towards the end and he was even able to get his haircut among the midst of singing, screaming, laughing girls. The girls had a runway show and head shots done it was just fabulous! My daughter loved every minute of it!

Breaking News our salon is expanding to better serve your needs. Thanks to all of our honest parents that tell us how and what we need to improve on! My daughter had her 10th birthday party here. She and her friends had an absolute blast getting mani/pedi's, singing karaoke and dressing up in the fashionable dresses. They made their own lotion which was also a hit. It was nice having the back room all to ourselves. It would have been nice to have two stylists consistently in the party room as initially promised. Two were there in the salon, but the girls had to keep going up to the front to ask her to change the music or find the correct song for them which seemed to be quite a bother. Overall, it was a great experience and the girls had an absolute blast and it was a great party for the money.

This salon is amazing! Being a hairdresser for 37 years I would say this salon is top notch. They do everything from ear piercing which I witnessed to be extremely well done, safe, and sanitary! They do pricess parties with are absolutely amazing and worth every penny. The prices are all extreamly affordable, with outstanding quality I could not be more impressed! The great thing about the haircuts is that if your child has a fit you don't feel embarrassed. They are extreamly patient and understanding in all situations, and will do everything they can to insure you are happy! Even though I walked in knowing what I wanted they offered many helpful suggestions and still fulfilled my request! The salon was extreamly clean there was no noticeable hair anywhere, and working in a salon I know how hard that can be on an extreamly busy day. I give my word if you go you will leave satisified

I went to this Salon to have my daughters hair cut for the first time about two months ago. After I looked around and saw how adorable the party area was, I decided to have her birthday party there. I had the party last weekend and was so happy that I did. She said it was the best birthday party ever and her friends said the same. They had so many dresses and shoes to choose from the girls had a hard time deciding which ones to pick. They all had their hair,nails and make-up done too (which turned out amazing). I saw that they had just gotten in a new pedicure chair for kids!! I had never seen one before, it looked like Hello Kitty. The owner was very sweet and got right in there to play with the girls. The girls that did the services were also very nice and I could tell they really liked the kids! The girl that did the nails even did mine while the kids played! I wish I had known about this place earlier..I will go back for sure. I especially loved the idea that I didnt have to do any cleaning after the party! I know I will tell a lot of people about this place it turned out better than I imagined!!

WORST BIRTHDAY PARTY! I don't even know how to begin this rating. I was completely disappointed with this salon/birthday party. My daughter wanted to have a dress up, fashion show, make up party. I couldn't find many places on the internet, but did come across this place. I went there to check it out and it was just ok. The person who set up the party had no personality. Thought maybe she was on something fruity!! When booking the party she told me that their salon ran Libby Lu out of business. Ya, right! I thought well I'll give a try and hopefully the party will be a better expirence. Well let me tell you, it was a joke!! Table was dirty, not sure if anything was sanitized, she made us feel like we were inconveniencing her day. She had no interaction with the girls at all, texting, picking at her finger nails, she had the calculator out figuring out what I owed before the party was even finished! It was the worst party I have ever expirenced. It costed me over $100! For what??? I could have done a better job myself. I would never recommend this place. I don't know how anyone could or would support this business!!

This place was expensive but had a dollar store quality and service. It was mid afternoon on a monday (during the school year) I went with my 5 yr old daughter, my brother and his 4 yr old daughter on her birthday. It was $30 per child, the price included a hair style (no cut), painting of the nails (with peel off kid friendly nail polish), someone doing their make up and then they could pick out a dress and play around singing into a kar-e-okee micro phone. they told our girls they could only pick out one dress and that's the dress they HAD to leave on the whole time, no changing their mind. The girls were given "play" high heel shoes from one of the workers. the shoes my daughter was given were clearly too small for her feet and she started complaining saying they hurt, she asked for a different pair but was told that those would have to do.After everything was done the girls played with the micro phone and danced for about 30 mins. they were also given a little gift bag. each girl was looking in the gift bag, my daughter pulled out a blow up microphone and started playing with it.and blew it up herself which she was so proud off. We paid and were just about to walk out of the door when another woman yelled "GIFT BAGS ARE $9.95", which NO ONE told us we would have to pay any more than $30 a child. we told them they can have them back Then they said we would have to pay for them anyways because our daughters started playing with the items and they couldn't resell them! which the little toys in the bags were worse then the kind of toys you can buy at the dollar store! Then the woman told both girls to put there bagson the counter and both girls started crying wondering why they couldn't have them WHEN the worker gave the bags to them. We left mad and bewildered at how a child oreinated place could be so strict and so expensive for the quality of service we received! I would never recommend going to this place ,it was the worst experience ever!!!!

Whether your kid needs a hair cut or you need to get your hair cut and can’t find a sitter this IS the place to go. I have been there to get my daughters hair cut and go there to get her hair done up for her dance shows. Kathleen was very good and my daughter always gets so excited to go there. She likes being able to sit in the chair and play while getting her hair done. The price is unbeatable and my daughter’s reaction when we say we are going there is what keeps bringing us back.

I was told by a good friend that "Kathy" at "A Hair for Kids Salon" is the only one that her children will let cut thier hair. She said Kathy makes it so much fun for the kids that its finally a stress free event. So, I checked it out myself. My daughter loved the girly girl attention and my son loved the video games. The prices were reasonable and the cuts were truly professional -for a change. I actually got the haircuts I asked for. The salon is very kid friendly, but there are also adults being served in an adjacent area. Its not gimicky, but it is reliable and whole family friendly.
