Weld Towing Co

There was a misunderstanding with a new neighbor of mine and unfortunately he had my truck towed to Weld's Towing in California.



This happened in the evening about 7:00 pm. When i went to get my vehicle the next morning at 9:00 AM, located less than a mile up the street from me, and I was charged $200 for them to release my vehicle. I also noticed scratches on the front end presumably from the towing chain.



I have had family members in the surrounding area(s) have their vehicles towed and also checked online at what I should expect to pay to release my vehicle. Most have said $50-75, when picked up same day.



Weld's is clearly a monopoly business in this small town and reap the benefits.



I also recently called to inquire about setting up an appointment to have my vehicle inspected (to avoid a long drive elsewhere) and the man was extremely rude and said "hey buddy, you gotta call back next week, we're not open", and hung up the phone.



Why would any business A) use a cell phone as a business phone for evening and night phone messages B) pick up the phone and rudely respond to a potential customer when you probably have a struggling business ??



Stay away from this company if you can help it. Spend your money elsewhere.
