Keystone Marble & Granite

Our granite counter developed a crack along the front edge of the sink. We called Keystone and asked if they had any idea why this would happen. They said they never heard of it but would send someone out to look at it for $375. We sought further advice from a installer they use and his "free" visit he told us he sees it all the time and that it comes from the manufacturer using a steel rod to fortify the thin front section in the the granite so it does not break in transportation. He said a stainless steel rod should be used so when moisture gets to it, it does not rust and expand and crack the granite. I was surprised that Keystone was in such a denial mode when one of their own installers was familiar with this defect in manufacture. I was also surprised they were so reluctant to offer any help. An organization that has such poor customer service should be avoided.

I had some issues with my project and had a hard time to get them back out to resolve the problem. They did fix it but not real good. I would look elsewhere
