Medford Nail Bar

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had and I try to be super calm/understanding with services as I work in hospitality myself. The atmosphere is not welcoming at all. I walked in feeling awkward. Let’s start there- no one said hello or how can I help. I was waiting behind some women talking to the front desk man who seems to run the show. I was reading the pamphlet so I could ask some questions when it was my turn. I don’t mind waiting. Instead he rudely interrupted the women trying to talk to speak to me (when I was fine waiting in line to be helped) and said what do you want. I said oh I need a manicure but if you have time to do full gels I have some questions. Instead of helping me, a customer who seemed out of place, because I was reading the pamphlet he shoved me over to a nail technician. The nail technician took out gel nails to let me pick a color. I asked if I had long enough nails for dip. He said no. I said ok well length is important so I want gel put on so it’s longer. He starts doing my nails without the set and on my natural nail. I stopped and said no this isn’t wHat I was looking for, can I get the fake nails on? Immediately the rude front desk man told me I was wrong I asked for the wrong thing and was causing a scene. Regardless if I came off WRONG that’s not what you say to a customer and I was new in the nail world. This isn’t my profession, it’s there’s and they should be helping with some guidance from the start. If they were unclear why didn’t they ask me further or assist me? It’s a service. Even if they were unsure just ask because you don’t want to do it wrong right? Not this place they could care less.

At the end I said look this isn’t what I wanted, I get it was a miscommunication, but I am pretty upset and uncomfortable. I don’t feel ok paying 30$ for this. The option was to take off my nail polish that’s how cheap they are.

My recommendation: don’t go here. Medford is a wonderful town/has so many nail places. Go elsewhere.
