Great Place to go with friends

We have been going to Granite City in Maple Grove since it first opened. Usually people would say is good food. It definitely has good food, but the most outstanding service is their staff. You only have to go there 2 or 3 times and they know your name and they treat you like friends. Not a lot of turnover in staff. We've been going there for so many years that we have adopted several of the servers. It's a great place to go with your mate and also friends. The prices are not fast food prices, but they do have great lunch prices and happy hour pricing. This is a great place if you are a beer lover. Be sure to join the mug club for great beer specials and discounts on meals.

I love to try new restaurants, and in every state, and this one was one of the BEST by far! Had their own microbrewery Lager, which was wonderful, the chicken carbonerra, so smooth and creamy, full of fab flavors; the chocolate mousse layer cake with whiskey sauce (huge!), and a really, really good cheddar bacon potato soup. The service was great, the staff was friendly, no complaints whatsoever! Going all the way to MN just to do it again, totally enjoyable experience for us!!

Big portions, loud place, bad food

I've eaten here several times and it's been OK. Trendy, casual restaurant, with big portions and pretty hefty price. The appetizers are priced and portioned better. The last time I was here we waited over an hour - in a loud, cold environment. By the time we finally got a table - I was too tired to eat. Try another dining option in Maple Grove instead.

Asian Shrimp YES Music NO

Spicy Asian Shrimp very good. Had it indoors because music outdoors was so loud as to bring tears to your eyes.

A very nice smaller chain restaurant - always predictable, always busy. They brew their own beers, and most of the beers are dependable and agreeable. The food comes in very large portions, and the restaurant can be largely described as mid-priced. You will often go home with leftovers if you order a sandwich or pasta. This Maple Grove location is nearly always busy during prime hours, but the wait is usually bearable during the week - weekends can be another story. The Buffalo Chicken Salad is one of my personal favorites, and all of the sandwiches are pretty solid. The pizza is also dependable, however if you are looking solely for pizza, there are better places nearby that serve pizza.

Good beer

The beer that is brewed on site is great. The food is great and not the same old stuff you get every were else. I've eaten a this location and the one in St. Cloud and the service has always been great.
