You cannot blame the chef for that one, I have been a waitress for over 40 years, that was the waitress fault, no doubt in my mind. She also may have picked up someone else's food from the kitchen if she not experienced enough to know the difference. That's what that sounded like. you should go back again, not fair to the business owner.

Four of us went to dinner. Three of us ordered Chicken Cacciatore and the other person ordered Eggplant Rolatini. We all ordered salad, two with the dressing on the side. When the salads arrived, all had the dressing on the salad, but we let that pass. However, when our main courses arrived we immediately told them that it wasn't what we ordered. We know what Chicken Cacciatore looks like and the menu's description was "chicken sautéed in onion, peppers and mushrooms in marinara sauce over penne." What we received was Chicken Capri - one of the specials that night. (Chicken sautéed with garlic and artichoke hearts in olive oil over pasta.) When we told them this wasn't Chicken Cacciatore we were told that was what their Chicken Cacciatore was. They offered to bring the menu over and when they did we asked where are the onions, peppers, mushrooms and marinara sauce that was clearly in the description on the menu. At that point they asked if we wanted them to make it again. Since it had already taken a while for our food to come out, and we didn't want our friend to have to eat alone, we said no thank you. We also didn't want to take a chance on what they would do to the food they sent out if we sent the first meal back. On top of that, what they gave us cost more than what we ordered, and they never offered any compensation for their error. By the way, when they brought us the meals we had wrapped to take home, one of the waitresses admitted that they had served us Chicken Capri. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
