Thai'd Up

Probably the worst Thai food we have ever had; the pad thai was a glob of gooey noodles. The yellow curry was worse. I would never go back or recommend the place to anyone.

On Sept 3rd 2011, I am in Mammoth Lakes,California. I wanted Asian Food so I walked to Thai'd Up ( www.Thaidup.net) Address 587 Old Mammoth Rd. in the Sherwin Plaza 3 with phone # 760 934 7355.

I had a Really Bad Experience.

I walked in, Manager or Owner took 2 min. to seat me while he kept asking me , Do You want Togo? (Note: it was 2:30pm) Sat me down at a table. I wanted Pad Thai or Sweet Sour Chicken Dish. It took him 7 min to take my Drink and Food Order. While ordering the Pad Thai I wanted White onions instead of Green onions. He didnt want to do it and explained that the Onions was just a Garnish. (Thinking to myself all "Pad Thai" Dishes come with onions) so I said ok,fine,np. (Note: I was clearly Hungry). I recieved Pad Thai (11.95 price,expensive Lunch) and the peanuts were old and beyond crunchy - I almost chipped my tooth on first bite. I asked him to get me the Sweet & Sour Chicken Dish,instead. I received this second dish and just Chicken and Rice. with little specs of onion aand pepper. I asked can I get some onions. He said the onions (Specs) that are there are in the sauce. and he said We don't special order. I said "Well, can you help me out with a side of onions or I will have to go visit the grocery store and get a white onion, cook at home for this Dish. He said "Nope".

I did pay the Bill $16.95 gave a $20 and gave the rest for Tip - Yeah I'm nice, lol. but I did say to him "This is not good service and he was not accommodating and should not treat Tourists or local Mammoth lakes people like this.
