Years of misdiagnoses and referrals

I stayed with this practice for years because they had my records in order and I was afraid I would need them for social security.I should have found new doctors years ago. I have been treated like liar when I had inflammatory arthritis, and I have been referred out for things a PC should handle. Navigating the health care system has become so difficult for patients, if you make these folks your primary care, you can rest assured that your doctors are way more interested in making money than they are in helping you get well and you will have to figure out what s wrong by yourself.

Always great care

I don't need to see doctors very often, but when I have health issues the doctors and PAs at this practice have been there for me. I have always been able to get appointments when I needed them. Just got off the phone with a friendly receptionist and was able to get an appointment for a day I would be off work. The flexibility in hours and the many caring folks available will always make it my first choice for healthcare.

Good Practice

Well, this is a doctor's office with about 8 - 10 doctors and a good number of nurse practitioners. It can be difficult to get in with a doctor, but I have never had a problem getting in with at least a nurse practitioner when I am sick. I have been a patient of this practice for 9 years, and while I do not think it is the greatest medical practice, it is better than anywhere I went in Santa Fe for the 5 years I lived there. I switched to Dr. Vosburg. She is terrific! MANNM is open late ('till 8:00) several nights a week. This is a definite plus!I would say this is a good (not great) practice. It is certainly better than most of what's out there in NNM.

Incredibly bad service

I tried to call to get an appointment about seeing a doc for a prescription related to anti-malarial medication for heading to Central America for a Service Trip. The woman answering the phone was flat out rude and said they were not adding any patients and that they flat out do not do anything related to travel consulting and that I would have to call a place in Santa Fe. She refused to let me talk to anyone else and was quite possibly the WORST receptionist I have ever spoken with. I will be seeking service from a different medical office.

Tired of not being able to get a "sick" appointment

I've been (now WAS) a long time patient. However, the last 4 times I've called for an appointment when I've been sick I have not been able to get an appointment the same day, or even within 24 hours.I'm moving all my records to another practice.

Terrible service, terrible communication

I was excited to visit MANM after reading the previous reviews; however, I was thoroughly disappointed after receiving terrible service at this office. I was given the run-around for several weeks, and the inter-office communication between employees is horrendous. After my first visit, I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription only to find that the DR did not call in the prescription that I needed/had made the original appointment for. The second appointment that I made was in regards to a different issue. After receiving multiple phone calls from the staff over several days, due to poor office communication, I decided to pay a visit in person, my concerns were not addressed. Now the Doctor is refusing to rectify the situation. The people at the front registration counter of the hospital know exactly which doctor this is and have joked about the errors in my paperwork and the ineptitude of said doctor as I was forced to walk across the hospital to have her fix another error.

Dr. Carr Listens and Cares about your Well-Being!

Kudos to the Medical Associates of Northern New Mexico for bringing Dr. Carr to their practice in Los Alamos! She is a caring doctor who is compassionate and works "with you" to realize your health goals. I couldn't be happier to have a female physician who really takes the time to listen and understand my needs. Thank you for excellent care and follow-up! I recommend a visit to Dr. Carr for your health care needs. Dr. Carr has this "infectious" habit of making you feel important and answering your questions with honesty.
