La Palapa Restaurant

Beautiful place and very romantic! Sea food plates are my fav! Location was right on

So... I was in the mood for more of an atmosphere then I was great food. Little did I know I was in for a treat. This is the most I could ask for my money. Although this isn't the cheapest restaraunt in town - - the customer service, beach front drinks and dining, and attention received are well worth it. I enojoyed a date on a Thursday afternoon and was so impressed I took my family and friends there on Saturday. Shy of four hours later we were still receiving our unbeatable service. If you've ever been in a waiters seat for more then an hour the lack of service and attention start to flow... you won't see that here, Enjoy the fresh food... and try a Mojito... Never had better.

I recently went to visit La Palapa, I had went to this location because I will be getting married next year. The place seemed to be a great place to have a reception at. As some of my friends/family and I started to walk up to the door, a lady stood behind her couter on the phone yelling at what it seemed to be a florist who was lost. She kept yelling on the phone that "I can not help you if you don't know where you at." Right off the back her vibe and attitude was a horrible start. She then got off the phone and she said can I do something for you, I then told her that we wanted to see if they was anyway that we could take a peek at the location because I was planning on getting married next year. I also advised her that I did call during the week and left a message for someone to get a hold of me but no one ever called me back. She had his physco crazy smile on her face and said ok hold on.....we heard her go back into another room and say in a high tone voice "I can't deal with this right now! " I'm guessing she had a wedding she was trying to put together and didn't know how to handle stress. When we heard that we decided to leave, so we just walked out and didn't look back. With that said I would never go back to La Palapa and I especially wouldn't want anyone like that to plan my wedding. I don't care if she was a regular employee, manager, or even the owner....she shouldn't be acting like that! Have some respect for your customers or you won't have anymore visiting your resturant!!!
