Garcia's Irepair

My son's iPhone broke recently, leaving it not working (phone won't even turn on) and the screen was cracked. So I went to craigslist and found Garcia's iRepair ad "Repair Now For LESS!". I call them up and made it clear that my iPhone 3gs was not working or turning on and the screen was cracked. They assured me they could fix it easily in 30 minutes.



So, I drive over 16 miles to them believing my phone would be fully fixed and working within 30 minutes.



After paying over $50 to them, they hand me back my iphone. The cracks were gone but the phone would not turn on. Unfortunately, I brought my 3 small children with me at the time so I just took the phone home, giving them the benefit of the doubt that I would go home and charge it up and the phone would work again. My mistake.



I left the phone charging all night. It never turned on.



Finally, after 4 days, I return to Mr. Garcia. I told him the phone doesn't work and I would need a refund. I added they could take the screen back as well.



What does Javier Garcia at Garcia's iRepair do? Instead of giving me a refund, they call over a security guard and then he tells me over and over they did fix the phone... look at the screen, it's fixed. I reply that's ridiculous. Why would I bring you my iphone unless you said you would repair it after I explained it wasn't working or turning on? All I got was a security guard that inched ever closer and Javier Garcia repeatedly digging his heels in that he was in the right because it states on my receipt the repair was for cracked screen and that's it.



Results: I'm now out over $50.00, the iphone still doesn't work, and it triggered me to write this review out of my frustration. Great job Javier!



This was the worst customer service I have ever had anywhere and that beyond being ripped off the $50 I was insulted and feel taken advantage of. There was never an apology offered or any explanation. There was never an offer to fix the phone or give any partial refund.
