Just ask for Mother. DiscoShow starts with a heartbeat. While New York faced its toughest times, and President Ford told the city to ‘drop dead, an entire generation answered, ‘let’s dance’. David Mancuso’s legendary loft parties had begun at 99 Prince Street. New sounds emerged. No judgement. No inhibitions. The DJ stood at the altar, and salvation was found on the dancefloor. Disco was born. DiscoShow is unlike any other show in the world. Once you make it past Mother’s velvet rope, you’ll be in the room with the everyday people who were there at the height of disco.
