ABC Towing

I went thru AAA to have my car towed to my mechanic for fixing. I requested thru AAA to have Towing Company call or text me with a quote (which I never got) BEFORE receiving a text saying driver was on the way. Called office and was told $12 per each additional mile after what AAA paid. NEVER was I told it had to be in cash! Driver arrived and said they only take CASH! WTH why wouldn't their dispatch person tell me this important piece of info! Driver said he would take me to an ATM to get the cash which was nice BUT I didn't feel comfortable about this whole situation. (I'm an elderly lady) FINALLY after I said to driver that if I didn't want to go to ATM and I did not have enough cash on me would I then be charged if I just said never mind? He then asked how much cash I had and offered to take one mile off ($12) if I had that much. IT was THEN and ONLY Then did he say that their computers were down AND THEY COULD NOT PROCESS CREDIT CARDS. (After I kept pushing asking if it was a normal practice NOT to accept cards) I seriously felt like I was dealing with some scamsters! Why the heck didn't some one say this in the beginning?? Driver called his office after I said I was going to call cuz I wanted to speak to management. Driver quickly returns from his truck saying "We can take your credit card now." WTH?? This experience was NOT at all professional and I will never allow AAA to send them out to me again.
